The European Commission says it will follow up on evidence that Samsung and another TV-maker use software that alters their screens' power use during tests.
When Samsung gets busted, they'll say they had no idea they did that... and they're probably right because it's probably something they stole from Sony haha
If you could only post positive things, this app could have had great potential. One of those "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all" kind of things. It would still work the same way, but it wouldn't allow people trolling people and ruining their lives.
[...]a so-called "bioweapon defense mode" for its air circulation system that keeps positive pressure within the cabin.
What if the bioweapon is released from within the vehicle... from say, a butt? Is there a defense mode for that that any other vehicle wouldn't already have?
"Immigration to my country harms me, it harms my family, it harms my people. Whoever invites or welcomes immigrants to Europe and Germany is my enemy."
Android has had this feature for ever... I haven't heard of anybody forgetting to disable it when they don't want it. Also, doesn't iOS come with a bandwidth watcher like Android? My phone shuts off data when I hit 95% of my cap.
1. More kids are being given their parents' phones to play with while they're out and about - there's now a way to satisfy more of the gaming demand than before, and more opportunities for mobile games to be played where PC/Console games could not.
2. Most mobile devices fit into kids' hands better than a keyboard or a video game controller.
3. Mobile game controls are dynamic - they're designed around the game being played. There is less need to learn how to use the controller/equipment properly.
4. The games are all available at once, easy to locate and run with no need to type/search/physically load media. Just swipe, tap, and you're in.
So ambiguous... did he buy it from another store instead? Did he buy another vacuum from Walmart instead? Did he buy another vacuum from another store? SO MANY QUESTIONS!!
Quite the opposite. I'm not much for Sci-Fi (I will prepare for the flogging that I so deserve). That said, I don't really know how much would need to be done to cause trouble.
Where's our beloved AC when we need him?
Bullies say Unfriend. Unfriend says bullies. UNNFRIEEENND UNNIFFREEEND say bullies. You're all bullies....or something like that.
Now I just feel like a vessel for a bunch of germs. My body is nothing more than a bacteria bus. It serves no purpose other than to move bacteria from point A to point B. My wants and desires are simply the wants and desires of bacteria.

I assume the mentality is that insurance will throw him all the money, and people won't run into much trouble because of insurance. How is this any different from insurance fraud?
On that note - why are there no laws in place that require studies and solid reasoning for ridiculous price-hikes like this? Is there no laws in place to prevent price gouging?
What's the point even... FB is a cesspool of stupidity. We've got people borrowing phones and writing statuses saying they've "hacked" their friend's account. We've got people that think sharing and liking will save a life or make them rich. We've got people that will click any and every link they see.
How is this news at all? It's just the same old story of stupid people falling for incredibly obvious (and stupid) tricks.
It stops the pop-ups, but the fact that the AV is paying that close attention to the sites that I visit... I have no idea if it's selling any of this information.
I think a big part here is how generic they are. To create an AI bot that is designed to specifically only focus on one topic, we should have some pretty solid fakes out there. But when designing a chatboot that you can just shoot the shit with... that's going to be a damn tough subject. There are so many slang words and strange ways to word things. We need to create a bot that can identify the topic, then run a quick Google and Wikipedia search to understand key points and return a somewhat on-point response.
What if we turned to a site like Omegle, and had it run there. If the bot wasn't 100% sure of its response, it could respond back with something like "does that even make sense?" or "do you follow where I'm going?" This could be used to flag weak responses and have the dev team go in to sort out how to make it smarter as it goes.
Who will probably be next to pull this stunt. It already bothers me when it gives me pop-up "warnings" about some of the sites I visit. Like keeping anonymous and crap.

This is good to know. Thanks for doing the math.

At what point will we have mined the moon to where its mass is reduced and our weather gets totally fucked?
Why not just assign 2 emojis per key, and use Shift/Caps Lock to toggle between the sets? He could have used 1/2 the hardware and 1/2 the space.
The Unreal Engine 4 Engine, eh?
He never said how long that one line actually is... you could *technically* write an entire program in one line.
YouTube's been doing this for a while now... example
Just wait for the DVD/Blu-Ray rips to come out... way better quality, anyway.

Damn Interesting has an awesome write-up all about this bomb. Definitely recommend this site for anybody interested. They've actually got a lot of really awesome articles there.

Wow... when did they become a place for SJW's? They used to be the de-facto forum for (mostly) harmless internet shenanigans.
