The version of Debian after woody (sarge?) will include a new installer, probably a modified version of the one from Progeny. It will support graphical and text installs.
One of the reasons that Debian doesn't have a graphical installer now is that it's extremely difficult to get one working properly on Debian's 11+ supported platforms.
Gee, and I was just about to go out and can my new homebuilt for an Apple.
It's not like this reduces the value of a Mac. If you have a Mac, you can choose not to pay for this service. With a homebuilt PC, you don't even have the option of this service.
Well, I believe Mozilla identifies itself in HTTP headers as "Mozilla/5.0". NS6, however, is "Mozilla/6.0". So one could sort of refer to Mozilla as Netscape 5.
mplayer, Xine, and other Linux players have supported MPEG-4 video for a long time. Granted, MPEG-4 video isn't all of MPEG-4, but it's the most important part.
QDesign Music 2 is the Quicktime audio codec, used by Apple and everyone else for almost all new Quicktime videos, usually in conjunction with Sorenson 3 video. Just because you haven't heard of it doesn't mean it's not fantastically popular.
Never had that problem, using Quicktime 5 and Final Cut Pro 3. As far as I've seen, it's only iMovie that objects to the larger files.

Nope. WiMP supports Windows Media Video, which is not MPEG-4. It's a version of the MPEG-4 video codec wrapped in a nonstandard format. MPEG-4 is much more than a video codec, it's a standard for describing multimedia, based on the Quicktime file format. AFAIK, MS doesn't have an MPEG-4 implementation released or even in planning.
It looks to me like all of Google's normal results are perfectly relevent. It's not their fault if Autoweb wants to advertise themselves under "car", and they wind up showing irrelevent adds. It's Autoweb's fault for not picking more detailed keywords.

This is a flat-panel, if you didn't notice. A 17" flat-panel has the same screen-size as a 19" CRT. Plus it's widescreen.
I'm really hoping that Apple introduces PowerMac G5's with Firewire 2 at the next Macworld. That would be extremely cool.

I believe it was originally compiled with Microsoft's C# compiler. It can now compile itself.
Very very few.
You can't reasonably expect all your users to get quad Athlons with gigs of RAM, just to run your simple program.
About 90% of your CPU cycles.
This might be helpful, but it's obsolete, as the QuickTime 6 file format is MPEG-4 (which is based on earlier versions of the QT file format).
You, sir, have no life.
Is a simple question mark too much to ask for?

You don't need OSX for iTunes.
They already have.
Installing DVD Studio Pro adds an MPEG-2 export option to QuickTime Pro. Of course, that may not be worth the $999 to you.
Already been done.

I know quite a few Linux users who have no idea what a kernel panic is.

If you didn't know, Google makes a profit.
Right here.
Nope, I prefer to burn the install CDs with my laser pointer, and let them take it from there. Saves time.
