And it's statements like that that get the country bombed. Way to go.
If people would stop bombing everything out of jealousy, there would be more money available for research that could improve the quality of life for all humans; what a waste!
It's the fourth time I typed in that question... Slashdot keeps complaining about me typing too fast (<20 seconds) (The fourth time, I made it all the way to 19 seconds):(

Walmart is entering into the market that Best Buy is in -- for those people who know what they want, Best Buy will have to try try hard to compete against that.
For a half second there, you realized you were providing a stupid generalization, then that moment of enlightment seemed to have disappeared quickly. So close... (don't spend all those moderation points in one place!)
Occasionally I change things like disabling networking so that I can safely check email (not looking at attachments but also not viewing ads hosted on remote servers) -- My legal copy of Outlook will occasionally want to be re-authenticated when I do that -- someday I may have to feel like a pirate just to use my legally obtained software as it decides not to work anymore.
I don't like coffee either, but I found out that Starbucks Grande Vanilla Latte with 2 packs of their sugar is good -- I just have to be careful not to drink this right before meetings -- just twice a week keeps things cleaned out.
The benefit of a double sided disk is that they don't charge twice for the same movie. When you get separate disks (one with 4:3 and the other with 16:9) you will many times have to pay twice (separate purchases).
I like double sided disks because if I ever scratch one side, I still have a good chance of viewing the movie (may or may not be the aspect ratio I prefer)
I once borrowed some cartridges for my Atari 1600XL from a friend. One time I started the computer up while holding down some of the silver buttons and it began to copy one of the cartridge based games to tape. My friend's Atari games were more fun than the two I had, so I was happy to be able to "keep" one. I could never make that happen again:(
It's many uninformed programmers that force people to browse as Aministrator in Windows XP. I have many older and current commercial programs that don't work unless the person has admin rights. All a programmer has to do is write to the CURRENT_USER registry area and current user file area - this would keep most programs from breaking.
The difference between working on an assembly line and working in IT is that IT workers have to have good technical skills and understand the business. IT workers can customize products as needed. Most assembly line workers will not make design changes because it make business sense.

Alliances change over time for better or worse -- they'll get over it one of these decades
If he got copy/paste to finally work right, then Linux is ready for the desktop!
As long as week keep up on the redundant safety of our reactors, I am not worried.
Your speech-to-text software may need a little more work...
The cell phone spam I've been getting has been recorded ads being played back...
I have been cell phone SPAMed during the day. (not free) That cell number is in the DNCL.
Didn't the same thing apply to 386 chips also like he mentioned? (I have an old 386sx computer with a populated 387 slot)
"Back to the Future 2" shows that we will have flying cars in 2015 -- I'm saving up for that day!!
a virus can be a stand-alone program such as the evil DOS based one of 10 years ago

Be sure to get her a bowling ball too.

destroying them isn't neccessary -- just reprogram to all zeroes or something

Did anyone build an app that "fires back" at these scanning attempts?

I see that you noticed the sarcasm wafting about but couldn't quite place where it was coming from.
