You know you can get some types of porn from local libraries?
I work in the library of a major university in Australia, and our Rare books collection has a stash of 50's, 60's and 70's Playboy issues that shits all over my dads.
well, the ABC has at least 2 news stations, local radio, a classical station and some others... one of which, newsradio, will for a couple of hours a day have broadcasts of PBN (i think - its a US public news radio stations) Duetche-Welle (sp), BBC, theres a heap of other news stations, several of which run bbc world service for most of the day, your local ethnic stations in x language, some classical stations, some dodgy 40-50's easy listening stations, talkback - you name it. possibly more variety than what you get on FM.
My Morning Jacket ROCK. I've only seen a few bands in my many many years of seeing bands *truly* enjoy and get into what they're doing as much as these guys - and they're all really really good at their instruments. very well rehearsed (or partially psychic) and talented individuals. They rock hard when they play even though their music isn't the most rockingest. great band.
All of you should check them out, and support them if you like them by going to see them if/when they play in your town, because thats where most bands get their income, not from cd sales.
I've got a 512 mb Kingmax USB key, and it's awesome - never had any hassles with it. my dad has got a whole range of sizes of theirs and has had for a few years now - he's happy with them.
I've completed the mission part of gta:vc too (and without cheats, they bugger the savegame apparently)
Nah they just mean you cant get 100% completion if you do *every* mission, you can still get 99% completion... I think I got to about 85-ish% completion when i stopped playing it.
when i was at teacher school about 8 years ago, one of the assignments was to play Myst and, as a team, finish it... i was a big gamer at the time, and the 3 chicks in my group had never played anything... so i got basically lumped with it.. i dropped out of this course shortly afterwards, and i can't help but think this boring, boring pointless game was partly to blame.
maybe it's just rumor, and there will actually be a 90s electronica radio channel
Given they've listed about 20 tracks, and in VC there was what... 8 radio stations that played music - you'd have to assume that there's more music on the way. I'm holding my judgement on the music until I see a bigger list.

Fisher is 9 stories high if you include the 2 floors that are underground.
If you look at it from the lawn, (and thats pretty much where all the O-week action is) its only 7 floors high.
Ever watched the Simpsons? Did you see the one where Homer was an Astronaut? Remember how he opened the packet of Ruffled chips and it exploded into the weightlessness of the space craft? remember how he did that floating dance to eat the chips and then he crashed into the ant farm? And then, after all that, there was a live cross to the "Average-naut" to TV, and a big arse ant passed by the camera, and Kent Brockman said "I, for one, welcome our new ant overlords" blahblahblah... Thats where this tired, tired joke comes from.
Not a bad episode, but yeah - the endless repetition of "I, for one, welcome our (topic of the day) overlords" are becoming very very tiresome...
I doubt that any of the kids would be the child of a congressman, as in the article it says that the database "listed the names, addresses and other details of low-income and foster families".
Now I'm not an american, but I assume that your congressmen are all on pretty damn healthy wages, like they are pretty much everywhere, so I don't think that their children would be involved in this child care program.
Planet Hollywood was a complete joke though - the props in the one PH I would pass by in Sydney were shite... LOTR props though would be cool to check out close up... but hey - maybe that's just me, but I'm sure there's others that would agree with me on this.
The movies have helped with tourism (there's more stories on this, but im not gonna look for them for you) so I'd say that a museum would help to complete the LOTR experience that the people who are going on the tours have. I know I'd go back to check out the props, as well as checking out parts of NZ I haven't seen yet...
how the FUCK is that flamebait? its a point of geographical questioning - Mod - you *do* know that Nirvana were a band fronted by the late Kurt Cobain, and widely hailed by many (mainly those who didnt know there were bands in Seattle doing what Seattle bands had been doing for a fair few years) as the creators of "Grunge"?? Seattle is a fair way across a reasonable size lake called the Pacific Ocean from being in Australia.
I'll happily take an Offtopic, or even a Redundant (although i dont know how you'd mod it that way) but Flamebait??!??!?!?

the us station is NPR, not PBN. my bad.

except for the 20 or so AM stations that i can pick up here in sydney.

not only that but HE also states - just under that picture interestingly enough - "Boy, Julie was sorry to have said that she wanted to help solder".
Now Im no rocket scientist, but I think that what he means by this is that this Julie person is a friend who helped out with soldering...
I dunno - just a hunch.

is it just me or does the appearance of "Nintendo" and "very aggressive attitude" in the same paragraph seem a bit wierd? ;)

No, sorry but you're wrong - I just grabbed it using Mozilla on XP... so I guess its only XP dependent.

I'm looking at a flat LCD screen right now

not that they are incorrect in reporting that the BBC accused the government of sexing up the report...
too quick on the submit button just then.
... and we all know how reputable The Sun is
They are together
"Launched in October 1997, Huygens is currently in space, hitching a ride on NASA's Cassini spacecraft." (2nd last paragraph)
I guess the Linux community can stfu about the great support.
No the Red Hat community can stfu about the great support...
Debian and many other distros still offer this "great support" you speak of.
