The unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence by a person or an organized group against people or property with the intention of intimidating or coercing societies or governments, often for ideological or political reasons.
Terrorism, term usually applied to organized acts or threats of violence designed to intimidate opponents or to publicize grievances. The term dates from the Reign of Terror (1793-94) in the French Revolution but has taken on additional meaning in the 20th cent. Political terrorism may be part of a government campaign to eliminate the opposition, as under Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, and others, or it may be part of a revolutionary effort to overthrow a regime, a common tactic in guerrilla warfare. Terrorism by radicals (of both the left and right) and by nationalists became widespread after World War II. Contemporary revolutionary groups that engage in terrorist activity include the "provisional" wing of the Irish Republican Army; the Palestine Liberation Organization; and the Shining Path, in Peru.
2. 3,581 were either killed, went missing, wounded, or those who died of their wounds.
3. The attack was on a Military base not on the U.S. soil directly.
TODAY:
1. We don't know exactly who did it. I have my feelings it was Osama bin Laden based a warning he gave the U.S. in which we would receive an "unprecidented" attack.
2. I'm estimating around 53894 people died today. Breaking down the number:
at least 50,000 in total from the WTC buildings
194 confirmed totals on both airliners that hit the WTC
estimating 1000 from major injuries suffered from debree from the collapsing towers
estimating 2500 from the section of the Pentagon taken out
50 from the plane that hit the Pentagon
150 from the plane that hit outside Pittsburgh, PA
3. The attack was on a Civilian, Government and Military buildings ON the U.S. soil directly.
Yesterday, Dec. 7, 1941 - a date which will live in infamy - the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan.

Webvan Group raised around $320 million from venture capital and when they went IPO (WBVN). You would think a company that generated that much money would be fine right? Well, two major things contributed to their death. 1. They didn't have sound business model in place. Selling groceries on the web is just... bizarre. I'm totally for the ease and convenience of buying things online and while some things work (e.g. DVD, books, video & computer games, music, etc.), groceries are not one of them. 2. They tried to get big too fast. They had over 7 distribution centers in many cities and over 2000 employees. This is how they started. They didn't start out small in one city and build up a loyal customer base. I believe had Webvan stood back and looked at their business structure they would've saw that buying groceries over the web is just too weird for most ordinary folks. Luckily they had a vague company name that had they of restructured their business towards other viable internet-to-home delivery products they could've been successful. Well, they didn't and they died. Nuff said.

BTW, I hope that the upcoming Final Fantasy movie proves me wrong about pre hype.
Pre hype? I walked into a neighborhood Taco Bell and bought a Big Stuffed Burrito combo
with a Final Fantasy toy action figure. When I went into Safeway to buy a 12-pack of
Pepsi I saw a bunch of Final Fantasy-themed packaging. Hey isn't that a Final Fantasy
endorsed Land Rover?! Pre hype huh? Riiiiiiigggghhhhhttt... I've been looking forward to
FF since I saw the trailer. Honestly Final Fantasy, for me has been the least hyped movie
this year. If I see one more Taco Bell Tomb Raider commercial I'm going to drive my Tomb
Raider Land Rover into it drinking scores of Pepsi!
If anything Microsoft likely told XBOX Technologies that if they went to court
Microsoft would most definitely win in the long run because Microsoft has WAY more
money to spend on a lengthy court process than this company could even fathom. To
give you an idea of how much money Microsoft has, they spent half a billion just to
advertise their new console. I don't know about you but I think Microsoft used their
power and basically told them to back the hell off. I can't believe Microsoft would
give them a big fat chunk of cash other than the money they need to rename their company.
This whole episode reminds me of another dispute only on a nastier level. See: Bleem vs. Sony.
...until The Lord of the Rings trilogy. There's just way too much bullshit, unoriginal movies out now. Last movie I saw was Pearl Harbor and while I respect those men and women doing that most "infamous day" in history, I totally hated this movie with a passion. It was utterly lame and contrite. And when the battle scene finally started I wanted so badly for ALL the main leads to get blown away! Of course that didn't happen and there was 45 more minutes of this shit. I'm so sick of all these big-budget, popcorn fluff, summer movies. At least when The Fellowship of the Ring comes out we'll have an original movie. Yeah I know about the 1978 classic ''The Hobbit'' and the 1980 The Return of the King. However, those two where cartoons. This Trilogy will be different. It'll be the first time our generation will experience what a "serial" movie is. Plus the sets, the actors and acting, costumes, everything looks top-notch. NOT negating the fact that this movie is based off of one of the best stories ever writing of all times. Shit, now I'm all hyped to want to see it. Well, I guess I could settle for the Teaser Trailer II.
Does this mean "Doh" (D'oh! I misspelled it!) will become a synonym with
words like dough, doe, John Doe, and the musical note "Do" that Julie
Andrews helped popularize in The Sound of Music?
Maybe I'm being too literal but isn't "Zeroknowledge" a bad name for a software development company. It reminds me of company names like "Fry's Electronic" or "Radio Shack".
Since Windows supports the Joliet file naming system that allows up to 64 characters with
spaces and multiple uses of periods, couldn't developers copy all DLLs for their apps,
rename them as something else like <name>_V5.DLL and install them all into a Vendor
folder off of the SYSTEM folder? If the original reason for overwriting DLLs was based of
HD space, look at the HD sizes we have now a days. Most people have 20 GB and many more have
40, 60 and even 80 GBs. There's no reason not to give DLLs a type of version naming schema.
Of course I'm probably way off on my assessment of the situation...

PEARL HARBOR:
