  1. update to mozilla? on Netscape 6.2 · · Score: 2

Did they update 0.9.4 from the standard mozilla version? Something similar to the extra bug fixes in 0.9.2.1?

  2. journalized fs on Which Partition Types Are Superior? · · Score: 1

If you are going to choose a Journalized FS, check out the benchmarks and see which ones best suit your need. For example if you need little writing, but lots of read access (eg, data warehouse)... or if you need lots of servlets constantly accessing/updating data... or if it is a simple web server... you should look at which Journalized FS is best for you via a look at the benchmarks/home pages for the appropriate FS.

I personally use Reiser FS on my "home surfing/programming" machine... because of the extensive support (especially in certain distros).

  3. database functionality... why? on TrollTech Releases Qt 3.0 · · Score: 3

Okay, here goes.... why oh why is QT in need of database support. It is a cross platform GUI (last time I checked?). Aren't things like cross platform database access left to tools like Java?

Maybe the Seti@Home project should consider re-crunching old data. Versions 3+ perform a LOT more calculations than 2.x or 1.x versions of Seti@home. How about adding a new 3.x version, that will only calculate the uncalculated portion of old data in the existing system.

Isn't one of the biggest selling points for traditional TLDs the fact that they are easy to remember? Sure there are many country specific TLDs, but usually they are used by people in your/nearby countries......

How many people are going to remember that my site is not www.thinkbrown.com but instead www.thinkbrown.info or www.thinkbrown.TLDoftheday?

Heck, why don't we go one step furhter, I want to define my own TLDs.

I don't buy into the arguement that traditional TLDs are all taken.... just stop the domain squatters and you'll be happy.
