I wonder how far back the logs go. With data like that the RIAA/MPAA could have a field day suing users.

This is true but up until now, the RIAA/MPAA has been focusing on those which are serving the files. If they decide to start a precident and going after users on both ends of the TCP connection, wow. I dunno about you guys, but Canada is looking PRETTY nice righta about now.

Most people do not speak at all, or very limited on planes because they are not sat next to someone they wish to speak to. Your phone is full of people you wish to speak to, and therefore you are more likely to spend time on a flight talking to a friend you already have on the phone, then the smelly old "wanker" randomly chosen to sit next to you.

Wow, for only 1,000 bucks I can get something that plays mp3s and also burns cds? There has to be at least an 800 dollar markup on this and should definately be given the award for Sucker-Christmas-Gift for this coming holliday season.

Installations and future marketing plans have already been canceled.

This is definately an important issue for all slashdotters. If the federal government can step in an enforce this kind of ruling, the domino's will fall my friends. These types of steps are simply Uncle Sam dangling his feet in the waters of intrusive actions, and if allowed to go forth, he will dive right in.

I personally use the 802.11b spectrum in my office along with many of my co-workers. That 300 foot range can be more then tripled by the many different optional and affordable antennae arleady offered by companies like Logitec. My only worries are security, but it seems like the new 802.11a protocol is facing those and is giving hope to the inevitable one day turn to a completely wireless internet world.

This is so unbelievable, what does this say about our country's so-called "Iron Clad" defense that two planes could fly, into extremely "Protected" Air space and do something so amazing. I cannot even begin to fathom the headcount and the ability of more people to do the same.
