That's what I was thinking: Crazy person uses what little power her position has to make life miserable for coworkers. Coworkers complain. Boss decides crazy person is disrupting business.
I doubt anything she did was over the top enough to make a clear cut firing case, but nasty people with a little power doing many small, annoying things can make for a bad working environment.
Hundreds of millions of young girls with paying parents are bouncing off the walls in anticipation of Marvel branded princess stories. Disney suits drool at the prospective profits. Disney is an expert in the premise: It doesn't have to be good to make steaming buckets of money. Sorry old Marvel demographic, you are being phased out.
Well, your personal attacks aside, I'm just calling them as I see them. Check out the more 'conservative' members on the Texas SBOE. You should try addressing issues instead of just shouting people down, unfortunately uninformative posts like your reflect the current approach to public matters of angry people with nothing to say or contribute.
Because a significant portion (not all) of the population is unwilling to pay for adequate education. Because a significant portion (not all) of parents are disinterested in what their kids do. Because a significant faction in American politics believes there should be no public education at all and so do everything possible to sabotage it, including packing boards of public education.
The same thing is going on in public universities. I had a history class at UT Austin with 700+ students packed into an auditorium with 600 seats. No questions allowed, as there would be no time to answer them.
The point of capitalism is not to lift up the employees.
You are looking at this through the evil end of the prism. The point of the article is that you can make money *while* lifting up employees, possibly more than if you crush them beneath your booted heal.
As an added bonus, legal pot will make it easier to rule in on line gaming like CoD5. "Woah... wait... was the grenade L2 or R2? Oooh! Look at the pretty cherry blossoms!"
