After the original iMac came out (and was hugely successful) the PC industry made a lot iMac "Knockoffs". Bulbous ugly things that also came in fruity colors. And we all remember how well those things did.
... That they can top the BBC version. Its just so eighties and well, I think the cheesey production kinda captures the essence of who Douglas Adams was. I dont think he was meant to be big budget, but then again I am going to see this when it comes out. So I could be wrong. But if you havent seen the BBC version, and enjoy Douglas Adams, rent it. Now.
Having a relative on a mantel is one thing, but around your neck??? I would just be too creeped out if I knew the person I was wearing, and would they really want to be degraded to a piece of jewlery ?
And its true our current systems in City Hall are extremely old and outdated, and our options are pretty limited due to money factors and closed mindedness, but is this what we really want? Nagin and Gates seem to be quite chummy, and this makes me very uncomfortable. I will not allow Microsoft to run over my city!
For those of you looking to build your own cabinets or consoles like the one shown Ultimarc is a great company thats makes the keyboard interface used in the Arcade in a box. They also mak emayn other very nice products.
The technology is very neat but, I dont quite understand why it was needed. Was it really neccesary for the physician in the pole to be talked through the operation. I am truely curious about this and would like to know more.
Mary Landrieu is a family friend of mine, and its quite odd seeing her get/.ed . I think I am going to talk to her about this issue on behalf of all my geek minded friends and/.ers, but still trying to think of what to say. Any Suggestions?

This could lead to LAN party type events in which you get the speed of LAN, but can still sit at home challenging all of your neighbors, I want this.
