One has to wonder, though, about the potential ramifications of having dangerous predators exposed to this brain-wasting illness, and what type of 'unusual behavior' they'll start to exhibit."
Had the submitter actually read up on CWD, they'd have learned that it's already present in areas where there are wild wolves, and that there's no sign of the wolf population contracting it.
As well, in tests that involved feeding infected brains to live stock, none of the livestock showed any signs of contracting CWD. The only time they've had sucess with transmitting the disease outside of deer and elk is by atricicial means, as in, directly injecting it into the brain.
Nope. He's elected by the liberal party, as thier leader (which, in a way is where the whole "unelected" bit comes into play, he supposidly used unfair practices to gain control of the party and influence the vote see Here on the PaulMartinTime.ca website for thier version of it)
The webmaster of the real site shouldn't have gotten involved. He found the site, he should refer it to the lawyers. (he likely also found the site by misstyping his own URL)
The owners of the "satire" site should know better. they're useing a domain that is off by one easy typo, using a deceptively similar site design. It's not truely a satire site at all, but a site that's a collection of anti Paul Martin stories, and while such a site is fully legal, the manner of which they chose to display it, is probably not.
The prime minister's neverreally elected by the people, see my previous post.
However, one other thing... Health Care is delt with on a provincal level, not federal. The Federal government just tosses money at the provinces use for health care, what the provinces do with it, is up to them.
For instance, Alberta has a system that's going towards the american system, while Manitoba's is quite differnt (yet, not really any closer to being perfect)
The Prime Minister of Canada is not really an elected postion. It's an appointed postion.
Each party's members get together and electe the head of the party. Recently, with Jean Chretien retireing, the Liberal party got together and voted in Paul Martin.
The party with the most elected seats in house is the ruleing party, and the Queen's representative (the Governor General) appoints the parties leader Prime Minister.
People vote for their regional representative, that's it, at least on a national level. The Prime Minister also runs, but just for a regular seat for whatever rideing he represents... so he could loose in his rideing and still manage to be Prime Minister.
I said what I did because they didn't look like they were covered in skins, judging rom the shots of them when they were being pushed, and when they were falling appart.
Although, you notice in RotK, the spear men set themselves up properly against a calvary charge (speares blaneted, angled to meet the charge)... after that, they're nowhere to be found... it's archers in front.
Though, what bothered me more was the whole mounted calvary charge against a fortrified city...
And why didn't the defenders do something to set fire to the siege towers? They were only wood after all...
Black Isle Studios was working on another Dungons and Dragons based game, and Wizards of the Coast, the owner of the property, started a legal battle and Interplay quashed it.
-Interplay has lost at least $20 million this year -One of BIS forthcoming products was canned because of a legal mess with WotC -thier 2 main consol releases, schedualed for the holidays were pushed back to January (one of them BIS produced), because of another legal issue (this time with a distrobuter)
I think that it doesn't need a anti torque system because the rotor's driven by diverting the thrust to the blade tips, with the rotor being free wheeling... or that's what it sounds like.
They may also have it designed so that the same divertion system also provides an anti torque system, by dirececting the thrust to one side.
I beleive they've hired some of the people who did the highest quality work from the NWN community, plus they've got some amaising people on staff as it is.
Um. Star Wars has existed in role playing game for for quite some time, done by West End Games and more recently Wiards of the Coast. In fact, KotOR is somewhat based on the Wizards d20 game (very loosely).
Heck, there's been mini based games before as well.
There's nothing new here. More licensing money for LucasArts... this on top of the games, rpg books, trading card games, action figures, clothing, models, lego sets and all the other stuff.
Actually dureing the period of time just after the 9/11 attacks, slashdot was in fact slashdotted, groaning under the weight of everyone scrambling for information.
I beleive the team learned a lot from that and even after the Columbia accident, slashdot endured better (although,I think there was less hits as well)
It's more a FPS renaissance rather than an RPG one.
There's been RPG's that contain more skills with the controls than your normal ones (Ultima Underworld, and Stonekeep as examples)
However, it's not a new thing. System Shock 2, Darkforces II: Jedi Knight (and the Jedi knight II and III) all contain upgradeable skills of one sort or another.

So the wolves should be safe enough.
He's the elected leader of the party.
Rundown on Canada's government process, for those interested
(Some of my details may be wrong, been a while since I looked in depth to it)
It looks like everyone's in the wrong on this.

(by now, this is probably redundant though)

Yeah, but what would your first reaction be to seeing something as big as the oliphaunts?
"Oh shit!"
or
"Charge!"
I'm with you on that...

Just ringworld? How about the other books in the series, or any other of Niven's Known Space...
Don't forget about the still dreamed about trans-atlantic train... they're still people attempting to figure out ways to do it.
As others have stated, Wizards of the Coast.
Black Isle Studios was working on another Dungons and Dragons based game, and Wizards of the Coast, the owner of the property, started a legal battle and Interplay quashed it.
Well, some of the reasons could be the following:
-Interplay has lost at least $20 million this year
-One of BIS forthcoming products was canned because of a legal mess with WotC
-thier 2 main consol releases, schedualed for the holidays were pushed back to January (one of them BIS produced), because of another legal issue (this time with a distrobuter)
In other words, they were hurting for money.

With 2 of the 3 probes sent to mars just recently messed up, I think that something less ambitious is in order.
Of course, I do want to see men on Mars... preferably living, rather than splattered all over it.
Intelllegent hireing practices.

There's been a number of versions of Linux that don't require repartioning. It installed like BeOS did... and it never really caught on.

You mean we arn't already caffine addicts?
actually. yes. Bars have been sued and there is increased pressure being placed upon lawmakers to hold the bars responsible.
Google it up.

Haven't you heard of the buisness card CD's? Definatly not circular.
You can even get Linux on them
No, they're not passing laws encouraging the use of french.
They're passing laws restricting the use of any other language.
Well, if I recall correctly, tantalum oxide is dielectric, so it's possible that they it, rather than a pure metal.
Pure tantalum on the other hand, is a great conductor.
It's news because it's an ISP actually doing something useful and proper in dealing with this sort of thing.
It's unbeleiveably rare.
