  1. Could be class based on The Moral Dilemma of Driverless Cars: Save The Driver or Save The Crowd? · · Score: 1

If you think about it, this would be something manufacturers would consider. Save the driver of a Ferrari 458 or a Mercades S class driver vs the driver of a low budget car like a Honda Accord. They'd never admit to doing this until proven in court. But I guarantee the higher end cars will save the lives of the 1% instead of hurling them off a bridge to save a few pedestrians.

  2. Re: Too little too late on Microsoft To Make Saying No To Windows 10 Update Easier (zdnet.com) · · Score: 1

Completely agree. I tried the upgrade for kicks on my Windows partition. It failed, no way back. I had to dig out my Win 7 disc and do a fresh install. After all their advertising how great it was, left me without a working PC. Had I not been a computer guy, it would cost $ to reinstall the os by a professional. Then reinstall all my games. Windows is only used for gaming , other 95% of the time Debian.

Soooo they're not doing it. Yet people I talked to in person earlier in the day for business, just showed up in my suggestions. That's a big coincidence.

For that to work it would have to be some sort of software that picks this up during use. Which in theory would only be proprietary to Apple software + phones. Simply removing/disabling this software by Apple, installing another camera app would by pass it. Or calmly toss your iFone for an Android who won't care what you film.

I was thinking the same thing. Most Yank corporations seem to force things until they lose in court. Then they follow the rules. If it only costs them 10k (assuming nobody follows suit), that's a good gamble on their part.

  12. YouTube has started. If you find a video that's say half hour. Every 10 minutes you get an ad.

I thought it was just me noticing that. I had bookmarked shows I could watch 100 times. Suddenly, they started disappearing, and being replaced with their own content shows.

  14. I agree. YouTube is starting to be like that. If I put on a 30 min kids show from YouTube, you end up with an ad every 10 minutes. I stopped using YouTube for that reason.

  15. I cancelled my Netflix too because the content locked into Canada. It was rarely updated, and once they started the VPN witch hunt. I just cancelled it and went back to torrents. Teaches me to want to pay for things.

I do too. It's just become to ad filled and app tethered. Must use app, must use FB chat app, view privacy requirements, no thanx. Use from browser, every 3-4th post on my feed is an ad. Erase all ad preferences, next day they're reset back to full.

  19. I agree I used it on the mobile site because the app was a battery hog. Also the permissions were terrible. I went to use the mobile site (Canada) and it directs me to install the app. My response? Guess that's 1 less thing I use on Facebook. I only go on FB now from Iceweasel, that I can control.

  20. Also there are recent posts of if you were in the general area of someone, say at a mall, people near by were popping up in suggestions for friends. There was even an article of a girl mugged, then the mugger appeared in her suggestions
