  3. And as a European I'd rather have the turks suffer under Erdogan than the EU being swarmed like we were before the deal... Don't get me wrong, immigration is fine but the levels we saw last year was a little crazy.

    To raise or lower sea levels by 1 cm you'd need roughly 3000 gigatons of water, with that amount you can bind 120 gigatons of CO2. The annual production of the entire human race is about 10 gigaton so if we limit ourselves to lowering the worlds oceans by 1 cm this method could theoretically negate 12 entire years of production...

    How would that keep everyone from getting ahead? The wealthy accumulate wealth slightly slower while the poor gets very low or no tax, thus everyone can accumulate some wealth, ideally...

    They are talking about indigenous cases and since malaria can't spread human to human it doesn't matter if immigrants bring it into the EU

    Not true.. You most assuredly can get help for it, and doctors involved with the person is sworn to secrecy. Unless they deem the patient a danger to others in which case they would first ask the person to hospitalise themself. And only if the person refuses, the doctor would call the cops.. I looked this up about 8 years ago so there may be errors/changed laws by now, also this pertains to Sweden / The EU..

    Man do i feel smug while reading this thread. By the time i was 16 i had been to six 8 hour school days dedicated to nothing but sex and all matters surrounding it. Guess there are some upsides to living in "Communist Sweden" ^^.

    Considering CO2 just moves from one medium to another it's pretty pointless to talk about it in this case. It takes something like 2 decades (iirc) for half the CO2 in the atmosphere to pass into the oceans/land. But it will gain it right back since the CO2 in those systems has exactly the same half life...

    Actually when there's no wind to drive the turbine, most bigger plants are kept in a very small motion by the generator bow turned engine. This is because the weight of the blades could cause damage to the bearings if left stationary..
