As they were under attack by the Obama admin, and the Bush admin before them and the Clinton admin before them.
unfortunately, wing nuts run BOTH parties in this country.
Indeed, if we stop the idea that we should do things with fewer resources, less time, and ultimately more cheaply, we'll all die because we can't support 7 billion people on earth with 1800s technology. But of course, that is probably what you'd like.
Trust me, the Denver/Boulder metro area is pretty heavily 'D" and all decisions in Colorado come from the festering fools there. I lived there for a decade, and am glad to be out.
Actually it's more a lifestyle choice. My wife and I eat breakfast together daily, a cooked breakfast that I make. We have lives as busy as anyone else's but this is a priority for us.
Obviously there are extreme cases - a soldier on patrol can't do this. But since a cooked breakfast takes about 10 minutes to cook and about 15 minutes to eat, we're talking half an hour here.
How do you link outrage to depression? If you aren't selfish, and you try and help others, and you find that you can't do much, you can easily get depressed.
Most of the SJW outrage is NOT altruism but instead more self absorbtion, at least this is my observation.
You can get things out of life by screwing others, or making your own way to the best of your ability.
Some of us choose not to screw others, I hope everyone here is like that.
Actually, I suspect that FInland and Switzerland have fewer mass shootings because you have social consensus. You know, like 'This is not a good idea.'
Actually, you're discussing Democrats here. The first gun control laws in the USA were in South Carolina, to keep freed slaves from owning firearms. And every other gun control law in the nation typically comes from Democrat led states, who are afraid of brown people owning firearms.
Indeed, this is tragic.
But consider - how much training does anyone here get at work? Not much, we do it ourselves (something I am NOT advocating for the Navy and NOT saying is a good idea). And how many people have died due to software errors that may have been avoided by proper training? My guess is the number is probably considerable.
This is a high profile case - and with something so intricately involved with national security, not a good thing at all.
This hasn't happened yet but the current thing is to have "smart rifles" to replace the skill that a sniper has to have, to find targets, determine if he can make the shot, etc.
This won't end well either.
It's like what happened to AT&T after divestiture, and that didn't end well; that company no longer exists, and its once world famous R&D centers are now either empty, or becoming shopping malls.
"In the long run." So, if a nation (like Britain, France, or the USA) sees its living standards fall for, say, 60 years, but they'll rise after this, it might be good in the long run - but millions of people have had miserable lives. But that doesn't matter, because "in the long run" all is well. Well, with that logic, eventually the sun will die so why don't we all commit suicide now?
And transfer trillions of dollars.

Was it valid, or for the birds?
Thank you. Someone who understand reality!
Are you working for $15 per hour? You're not? Then greed is your only motivator, yes?

You've stopped taking your meds again.

Maybe the 'unselfish people get depressed' aren't actually unselfish?

Incorrect. https://www.nraila.org/article...
I'm afraid you're confusing the idiot - you're discussing FACTS, not feel good opinions.

Indeed. "I have this great idea for a book, you write it, and we'll split 50/50." Um, no.
You cannot believe that "antifa" and other similar groups actually want freedom, can you?

I love the new corporate motto: IBM. We suck for less!
Well, I'd say living standards have dropped _in terms of things that matter_ in most western countries for a while.

I had wondered who else would notice this :) And I'm a yank and know this, go figure.
