Agreed, I really hate the fact that there's an app for EVERYTHING. I don't understand why I need 10 different apps for all my bank accounts when I can access then all through the browser. And that's what bothers me about Microsoft, Google, and Apple bringing "mobile apps" to the desktop.
Once you have the apps you need, why change? Mayyybe if you're extremely bored and decide to download a new game, or (especially) if you're an early adopter and have to fulfill some random desire to try new apps.
It's like my desktop computer, as a teen I was downloading a lot of software and installing it out of sheer curiosity... now though... meh. The only new programs I download are games.
...to like linux, and windows 10 now includes linux bash shell in windows 10... does that mean windows 10 hates windows 10? If so, then I think Cortana might have become self-aware and reached AI levels of humans to learning the gift of self-hatred...
This was the stuff that made me sick when I worked at Bank of America almost a decade ago. Everyone was so persistent to getting their numbers (especially number of checking accounts they can open) that i'd see people open up checking accounts for a customer when they already had one, or open 2-3 for a new customer, just because. You were expected to open a minimum of 3 checking accounts per day, and my branch was very slow... yeah I rarely ever hit my numbers.
I read once in a blue moon, and the old nook had an lcd touch portion that drained the battery like crazy. I kid you not, I used to read about once every 6 months (though read a lot in a short period with a new book), and the battery was long dead.
you don't have to keep it charged.
I tried doing the whole ebook thing, but how often I (don't) read, when I wanted to finally sit down to read something I realized I had to charge my bloody nook, so I leave it to charge, resulting in me forgetting and not reading.
I loved webcrawler... Back then it was amazing to be able to search through all search engines at once. Like Dogpile, metacrawler, mamma, etc. The crazy thing was watching the "spycrawler" or whatever, to see what people were searching for in real time... amazing to see all the pervs
pffft.... I hated blink... now marquee... I used that wayyyyyyy too much back in the day. The 15 year old me loved it. The present me wants to slap the 15 year old me
AI is just the new buzzword, much like VR in gaming even though it's not true virtual reality because of the limitations. Marketing in companies has always exploited words to mean less than what it actually is, because it makes the general public think more than what it really is, that's how marketing works. Manipulative advertising.
Exactly. While this sucks for any individuals, this is a good thing in the long run if it grows. Not only will it teach people not to pay the ransom, but it, like all ransom ware will teach people to backup their damn files.
Still, I don't see it being lucrative, as regular ransomware has a better chance of getting the ransom.
Sadly it doesn't seem like it as there's numerous articles about companies and hospitals paying because they don't have backups. I seriously hope that this will be a wakeup call for them.... but probably only until they feel the need to "cut costs"
Exactly, look at the MPAA, still complaining that piracy is hurting movie ticket sales, yet records are constantly being broken
that their seem rite too me
I don't think we have to worry about Microsoft extinguishing anything considering they seem to be unable to consistently embrace things nowadays.

Exactly... it's annoying when you just want to sit down and read.
tells you how often I read ^_^ Though I had a 1st generation with the touchscreen.

If his name is tabby... make it a cat then?

What about "Thou shalt not covet thy neighbors wifi?"
Given Mozilla's recent history, I doubt they would really go that direction.
Buy Opera and fully move to the blink engine?
This was written by his AI Bot

CryptXXX is a Windows ransomware infection
Though there's other ransomware out there for other systems
All currencies have illegal activity linked to them, you think that with the advent of bitcoin suddenly illegal money transactions started?
