Here's the exact text of the notice from the Super Mario 64 booklet that I was talking about earlier:
WARNING: Copying of any Nintendo game is illegal and is strictly prohibited by domestic and international copyright laws. "Back-up" or "archival" copies are not authorized and are not necessary to protect your software. Violators will be prosecuted.
The ABC News article on Windows refunds has a Microsoft Daily News ad at the top. Go figure. Microsoft's buy-advertising-space-on-negative-press strategy strikes again.
Oh and one other thing - filter for people posting from Microsoft and I'll continue to do it from my personal ISP. Its not worth you time to worry about it.
Typical M$ thinking.. "I'm going to have my way, and there's nothing you can do about it.. wah wah.. I don't care if the site is your property, I work for Macrosloth and that gives me the right to post here since M$ invented the InterNet(tm) and I'm Billy's bitch.. wah wah.."
Forget about clothing.. How about doing a Jerry Springer type talk show? You could invite RMS and a Microsoft rep onto the show for your first episode. RMS comes out on stage, everyone cheers him on.. The M$ rep holds up a copy of Windows NT to taunt RMS, who then wings a Debian CD at him. Then RMS charges and beats the living crap out of the M$ rep, and the crowd starts cheering and chanting "Rob-by, rob-by, rob-by.."
Next episode: KDE vs. Gnome flamewars. RMS makes a return appearance and gets in a fist fight with Bernd Johannes Wuebben. Torvalds later appears and decks RMS across the back of the head with a chair from on-stage, and says "that's for telling that reporter that I never acknowledge GNU!"
ZDNet news flash: Microsoft recalls entire product line claiming severe harm done to people that use the products on a dialy basis, company plans to only sell Microsoft ActiMates Barney toys in the future
AMD's K7 slogan should be a big police-style battering ram with the AMD logo and "We'll make our own way in" written in military-font across the side.. **BOOOM** Buh-bye little Intel door!
Q. WHAT EFFECT DO THESE DEVELOPMENTS THAT WE'VE JUST BEEN TALKING ABOUT IN TERMS OF THE OPEN-SOURCE MOVEMENT, AND THE WINE PRODUCT, AND SO FORTH HAVE ON YOU, MICROSOFT?
A. WELL, THEY CAUSE US TO REALLY HAVE TO, YOU KNOW, INSURE THAT WE CONTINUE TO INNOVATE AND OFFER VALUE TO OUR CUSTOMERS.
In other words, that's their excuse for all their rapidly-changing proprietary shit.
(Microsoft's) Maritz told Judge Jackson that a flurry of new applications and new vendors supporting Linux meant that relatively unsophisticated consumers would soon be using the operating system. As a result, he said, Microsoft would have to work diligently to keep pace with the market.
Microsoft produced a half-dozen magazine and newspaper articles to support its contention.
of course this wasn't any surprise to anyone who bothers to subscribe to redhat-announce..

Red Hat Software is moving to new offices. The part of that move that involves our internet connection and servers will happen this afternoon and early evening, EST. We hope to be back to life quickly, but with these things you never know.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We should be running normally by late evening or tomorrow at the latest.
Microsoft's Maritz cracks on Redhat, tries to play Linux defense. Other neat tidbit: Judge Jackson notices that Linux has to give product away to compete with M$.
Frame this and put it on your wall
Like, wow.. I think..

Seriously though, this looks like some pretty neat technology.
"It's all fun and games until somebody loses an eye. Then it's just fun you can't see."
I wouldn't mind seeing more of this guy's stuff..
Nice writeup, I enjoyed reading it.
Backup copies of this software are strictly prohibited. Copies are unnecessary to protect your software.
Comments?
Sorry, I'll aim better next time.
Sorry, I just can't resist taking a cheap shot at Microsoft.
Falwell is just pissed that the Teletubbies are more popular than him.
Run him off the road next time.

I want that book. And I want it now.
Yes, including your post.

Of course, there are no Microsoft people infiltrating Slashdot.. Rob wouldn't have that. Or would he...
I would definately pay money for that. Maybe you should submit the idea to copyleft?

This reminds me of the Borg Cube getting hit from all sides, and doing anything and everything possible to stay in the fight.
