Dear Sir, Why would you post a serious reply to an obvious joke that is modded funny with a title "obGrampa". The only thing that I can think of is that you are actually way funnier than me and it is _I_ that am not getting the joke? No, wait, that is impossible. I don't detect any humor at all in your post. Perhaps you are Borg or Vulcan or some other humorless alien species? No, that can't be, that is just on television. Maybe you just like being right. Can't blame you. Sincrely, Mystified in Manhattan.
I don't read blogs, and I don't intend to listen to any 'podcasts' either. Books are for reading, and iPod's are for music. As far as I can tell, the main disadvantage of these digital soapboxes is that you can't hurl tomatoes at the orator. These newfangled ideas are nothing but chicanery perpetrated by charlatans. In fact, the iPod is nothing more than a cassette player crossed with a cue ball.
yes, I agree. It was just the requisite vi troll. I learned it as a young lad on a vt-52 and it has become the blade on my swiss army knife that gets used again and again. I was just thinking last night that one thing that annoys me about macs is that they are hard to operate without a mouse. It is actually pretty easy to learn how to use windows with only a keyboard.
Gotta blame it on something... Blame it on the rats that were chewing, chewing Blame it on the cio that didn't plan redundancy right Whatever you do don't put the blame on you Blame it on the rats yeah yeah.
if your internet connection is anything less than fiber um, you _do_ know that people use networks without having to connect to the 'internet', right ? Some type of real time type database thingy like a stock market or a really kick ass low latency lan party. In conclusion, yes there is a place for a $500 whachacallit, card.
so anyway in real news, wasn't the season finale to Dr. Who FREAKING AMAZING!!!!

Dr Who Rolls On

its the worst ever. I'm about to jump out of my skin I want to see the next episode so badly ! I'll be poking bittorrent trying to get it to go faster tomorrow night.
Hear Hear, I have been downloading eps via BT, and get pretty shaky when I have to wait a whole week for a conclusion to a 2 episode cycle. I tried to like battlestar gallactica, but between the wierd editing style they tried to give it and the darkness of the material, I couldn't make it past 3 episodes.
Doctor Who with Eccleston feels fun, fantastic, eerie, and lurches around time/space in an exciting non linear fashion. I love it, I haven't gotten into a show like this in years. I would also buy it on DVD. Is it even broadcast in america?
Yeah ical is ok, but actually I had serious problems when I wanted to print a fairly complicated itinerary. I ended up inputting the whole thing into palm desktop because I was in a crunch. I needed printouts that I could hand out to people. If I had more than a few things on a day, It would truncate text on the printout, rendering it useless and wack. So, great for scheduling your little activites, but for anything complicated (production schedule for example) its a no-go.
ical is also not equipped for work groups, strictly a single user experience. At the office (1000+ workstations) we have been using groupwise for years and years and years. It is not without its ups and downs, but for email and calendar/scheduling it is a decent mule.
t's running on 9600 class hardware and performs a VERY important function here at work. The hardest part about maintaining this system is finding replacement parts for the hardware.
If that is the hardest part about maintining it, not bad. There seems to be a perpetual supply of them on ebay for $20 - $50.
(link directly to server instead of coral cache.) no, I used the coral cache intentionally to be nice to the server that is not mine, and of unknown capacity.
Amazed I even skimmed through, but I did manage to catch
this gem of deep thought and reflection on my way to vomiting:
During my solo performance I had trouble putting the sword back into the scabbard. Why are there such things as mistakes? I can't seem to get away from mistakes. Well, can't do anything about it now. It's over, back to normal life.
I saw that movie, its called For a Few Dollars More, with Clint Eastwood. Apparently it only works if your the baddest hombre with a sidearm this side of Sicily.
To loosely quote NWA:
Get a 10 piece, base pipe comes free
shame the best joke of the thread gets modded troll.....
Yeah, I hate it when I roll a character with low intelligence. The best you can hope for is a blessed potion of gain ability.
