Too bad that the people who have already settled with the RIAA didn't have this information in hand, at the very least, it could have lessened their settlement.
and look! even YOU get to choose whether this is insightful or funny or iformative or redundant or flamebait or troll or you could even choose not to moderate or respond in any way.. you can choose to post anonymously or as your slashdot id...!
You could click your another browser button right now you could just hold your breath until your pass out!
Only *you* can choose to prevent forest fires!...or CREATE them! Do you take the one ring or destroy it!
I never stop laughing at this genius film! Each time I find something subtle and new to laugh at... Leave it to Monty Python to show us all how stupid we can be!..and ***IMHO*** to show us the true meaning of Christ's message. Truth is always funny!
IMHO cheaters fall into two categories, those who couldn't care less about playing well..they just want to win by any means necessary.
Those who want to cause grief to others and just ruin the game for their own amusement. I believe that most, from what I've personally witnessed, fall into this category.
It's a basic sociopath mentality... positive reinforcement through cruelty.
Let's hope they don't screw up how computers are portrayed like they did in Jurassic Park. I for one shudder at the thought of some pre-teen girl saving the planet by sitting at a computer with a pretend real-life operating system.
Que-Spielbergian happy ending music.
I want War of the Worlds to be DARK... and foreboding.. not an frosting coated commercialism based action film
Because "everyone else" is still in principle doing the same thing as the absuers, but just less. Trading 10 bandwidth tryants for 10,000 isn't progress.
Actually, yes it is.. slow progress, but progress none the less.
I have to say that some women give other women a bad name. My mother wants to get a computer but thinks she is too stupid to buy one. Now my mother is in fact not stupid at all and I actually have to argue with her that she is smart enough to learn computing..
When she walks into a store and says "I don't know what kind of RIM or ROM it needs" I can easily see how salespeople would develop an impression that women in general are not that bright when it comes to computers. In actuality, women IMHO don't mind not knowing something and asking to be informed where as a man wouldn't be caught dead not knowing what the hell he is talking about..
In short: It states that the manufactures are not responsible for what the customers choose to do with their products. I don't know where you drew from this that the customers therefore have the right to "the "sharing" of digital music files".
So your interpretation of the law differs from his..? Why is yours correct and his incorrect?
So how is an Australian held subject to U.S. law.. AFAIK... he doesn't have the right to vote in U.S. elections. So we would be holding him subject to laws in a country in which he has no representation.
This just underscores my prediction on how the internet will eventually lead to world government.

Where science and the possibility of life outside of earth meet, there is invariably overtly religious people who crawl out of the wordwork with Bible in hand to dispute things..
My point was.. be careful in using religion to try and refute science because more often than not the church is the one proven to be in error.
It was more of a point about the possibility of extra terrestrial life than of the existence of water on Mars...
What? About things of outrage being commonplace today?
How about social security numbers.. During the 60's it was considered a great invasion of privacy, today it's very common for all manner of institutions to ask for your SS#...
..well... uhh.. ergghh..fffffffffffffffinee.. YES! I LOVE IT! GIVE IT TO MEEEE!
What if you put a scram jet ON a segway!? That's fun for the whole family!

I've had a 1989 Yugo in orbit around Mars for about 10 years now! I miss that car.

*Giordano Bruno*
Add some mass to the planet for added gravtiy, massive heat increase to melt the ice caps and creat liquid water...
Make it pay per view to keep it profitable!
We can call it a Weapon of Mass Creation!
WE CAN'T LOSE!
IMHO I think the results show less of a bias for actual coins and more of a bias for human motor skills involved in flipping the coin.

That which causes outrage today is commonplace tomorrow...
Technology is like fire... if you don't keep a careful eye on it and keep it under control, what was your servant becomes your master...
That's all I'm saying... make sure such useful technology doesn't become abused... It's a duty to those who wish to remain free.
"The price of freedom is eternal vigilance."
