  1. music cassette sales down 100000%!!!! on CD Music Sales Down 20% In Q1 2007 · · Score: 1

it came to as an unexpected shock to the industry when they realized that the cd, the dvd and the music downloads finally killed the demand for mc's! they solely blame p2p piracy and want all users not buying at least one hybrid hd/blue-ray movie a month to be electrocuted immediatly.

in other news: the RIAA fell down a cliff and broke a leg. we all send our regards... to the cliff.

interesting theory. maybe it got something to with the supposedly smallest entities of our universe.

somehow all the old wisdom is getting some sort of evidently proof, like:
to be on the same wavelength with each other or that you can "smell" someone (like him). in the end we will learn, that it's all connected. after all, everything is just energy right? so it's just a matter of transformation or on a superstring level a matter of representation.

  6. Re:bullshit on Law Student Web Forum: Free Speech Gone too Far? · · Score: 2, Insightful

as with everything freedom can go to far. your freedom ends, where the freedom of someone else begins. remember? there's only so much room for one person and there's billions of others too, that deserve some freedom.

does you definition of "freedom of speech" include the freedom to break laws/oaths too? like a doctor who's breaking his oath telling everyone of his funny patient stories, because he feels he can go as far as he wants with his freedom of speech? if it would harm another one's freedom you are not entitled to use your's. there's always compromise, even if some americans seem to be completely blinded by their constitution. remember, after all it's just a piece of paper with some words on it written by some other human, who lived ages ago (like the bible). just because it says so, you're not allowed to go rampage on others. that 's what common sense, ethics and morale is all about. think before you speak.

  8. unwanted technology on Download And Burn Movies Available Soon · · Score: 1

i just don't understand, why those stupid companies (yes there seem to be more of them) constantly work on innovations no one really wants or cares about? is the machinery that mindless or are the people in charge ignorant? maybe they got too much money, so they can't imagine, that there's others out there that are willing to pay horrendous amounts of money for the same shit over and over again. ... i just don't know, how itunes could ever become such a huge success. do people really realize, what they are doing, when buying from that store? are they aware of the implications, that in a few hours, all those songs are lost, because their ipods turned to dust and the music they bought went down with their only way of listening to it?

i think there's a general lack of awareness regarding DRM and competing technologies. it doesn't seem that this will change in the near future and just as with sony's (already almost forgotten) rootkit disaster (time really seems to heal all wounds). the public outcry will take a while to surface, because "the mob" isn't aware of it now.

there's a german saying: "jemanden nicht riechen können" (http://dict.leo.org/ende?search=jemanden+nicht+ri echen+k%3Fnnen), which directly (word by word) translated into english would be: "not to want to smell someone". it seems there's more to phrases like that, than most people knew, even though it's quite commonly used.

next, they tell us, that everyone's "aura" is just a kind of wave pattern, that is emitted by our each one's personal quantum state, which would lead us directly to: "to be on the same weave length with someone".

  13. They get away with everything on Why Does Everyone Hate Microsoft? · · Score: 1

    ...because they have the money.

in the early days they were just awfully unbelievably lucky, bold and impudent. now they just have the money to do about everything you can imagine and still get away with it. so the eu cost them a few billion, so what? they are just so big and powerful, it's frightening. they see a standard or an idea, the just steal it, pay a few million to whoever and make a few billions out of it. they dominate the market and leave most people no chance WHATSOEVER to choose. there's simply nothing else in the world of a computer newbie, than windows. you can't get around it. you have to fucking eat what's on the platter. they thrive on the disaster called "healthy economy", 2% of the population (which hold over 90% of the worlds wealth) find to be a good thing.

they really can do everything and i can't, because there's rules i need to obey. microsoft has that kind of money that bends the rules to their will and they use that kind of power in the most natural and primitive way possible: the strongest survives; and that's why i hate them, but they are surely not the only ones out there to hate.

  15. anime == pedophile, nuff said on Final Fantasy XII Review · · Score: 1

many anime productions show very young faces, huge boobs and much much skin. it seems that the age old preconception that japanese men tend to like under aged girls and boys isn't too far off anyways. even sailormoon falls into that category imho and if you still can't believe it (or if you are so full of it yourself and just can't admit it), try to watch some hentai from time to time, where it's really more than obvious. many animes are walking a pretty fine line there and i'm not sure, what to think of it really.

what's the big deal? i mean, i wouldn't have bought a lot of stuff, if i hadn't pirated it before i could afford it. why whould i buy some tape, if i don't even like the group or listen to it before that? they do not even criminalize normal folks like me and you, but also cut off the hand that feeds them. with caviar actually.

also, if someone can't afford (or won't, because it's not worth it anyway), it doesn't matter if she'd copied it or not. if you don't like it, you don't buy it. if you like it you probably will. so, if you copied something you probably like, you might buy it. if you did not copy it, you will never EVER buy it, because you do not even know (or learned to like) it. still if you you copied it, like it and can't afford it (yet) you maybe do tell your friends about it, who in the long run would probably buy (or at least propagate) it too. that's way better advertising than any shit billion dollar ad campaign could ever be. SO CUT US SOME SLACK, WILL YOU!
