It's not really a question of a country affording the pills.
One needs to remember that when that happens, countries can decide to ignore some patents for certain drugs because the manufacturers charged too much for the drugs. Brazil and India actually did that and then suddenly the original manufactures lowered prices from 50 to 80 percent in most cases not to lose the monopoly on the drugs.
That's one of the reasons that medical drug advertising is not allowed in several countries.
It always amazes me to see so many drug ads and insurance ads in some countries, like the US. I really find it funny when they start to quickly list side effects. Especially on the radio.:)
So every time the US don't like somebody, that person should decide to go away because the US is always right and the disliked person in question is always wrong?
I'm in no way defending Cuba's government acts here, but I really don't get this "Cuba is evil" mindset that people in the US always state and that always only shows one side.
One need to remember that besides what Cuba did, the US supported a dictator in Cuba (Batista) before the was overthrown by the "revolution", supported a tentative to invade Cuba (Bay of Pigs), and supported terrorist and sabotage acts in Cuba.
The US (biggest economy and military in the world) also imposes an economic embargo in Cuba (very small country) for some 40 years. And at the same time the US has a law that allows any Cubans who reach the US to become a US citizen. Do you want any bigger incentive than these two for people to live a country with a struggling economy?
And then they claim that people just want to run away from the bad bad Castro because he is the devil or something.:-/
Wrong, the USSR targeted the US with missiles in Cuba. As the US targeted USSR and other with missiles elsewhere.
And most importantly, this happened a long time ago.
If Cuba was regarded as any threat by the "status quo" the US would not be the only country applying an economic embargo on the country (and one which started because of sugar, not security or anything else).
I used to work in an environment using ClearCase in multi site (7); including sites in the US, India, Brazil, and Russia. Everything worked fine.
ClearCase is a monster and not my preferential choice for lots of scenarios, but it does the job fine. The problem the GP was talking about is purely configuration management not being done at all.
I can't agree more with the parent poster. I'm currently in Singapore at NUS (Electrical and Computing Engineering Dept.) and both the country and the university are very nice.
Singapore is a very good option. And they do have student interchange programs with lots of countries and universities.
The best error message I've ever seen was when I used to develop in Haskell. I don't remember the exact sentence, but it was pretty close to this when trying to run a program. "Fatal Error: Pattern match failure inside protected code".:)
As someone who played the original Sid Meier's Civilization for hours and hours after scoring ended or caused a nuclear war that turned the whole map into swamps (or both), I can say that the north pole can be the best site to create a city that with size one can outproduce the rest of the planet.

And the Brazilian banks are among the most profitable in the world now and also weathered the crisis without any bailout. Also very regulated.

Let's at least present both sides.

I was going to vote for Castrix or Fidelix, but your suggestion is so much better! :)
If a Galapagos Penguin ever reaches Cuba by itself that would be major news as Galapagos is in the Pacific and Cuba in the Atlantic.
And if you mean they would travel through the Panama Canal... man, I really wish I could see that migration live. :-)
It could be worse, they could have called her virtualsecurity chief or something.
Every other thing that has slightly to do with tech is called virtual* these days.
And .us would also not mean English-language as the the US has no official language.
And Hawaiian is an official language in the state of Hawaii.
"Insightful" :)
The one thing I miss from ClearCase is config specs. :-/
Isn't it basically just the same as regular Boron (49GPa)?

I don't agree with exactly 100% per cent of your post, but congrats. Great interesting reply.
Too bad I don't currently have any mod points.

You forgot to say that 91.72% of all statistics are created on the fly and out of thin air.
One of the funniest posts I've seen here and I don't have any mod point... :-/
Has anyone else noticed that Sun is now pushing it (if agreed) with the new update of the Java SDK for Windows?
Just saw this at work today when a little JDK update notice popped up in my computer's systray.
I actually think this was an interesting idea.

Did someone else managed to do this?
Meta-ass?
Man, at first I read the end of the summary as "the International Federation of the Pornographic Industry".
:(
Well, somehow that would make sense as they are fu*%$ this guy.
Thanks for reminding me of the DVDs, I had completely forgotten about them.
I also still didn't receive them nor heard anything from Sun.
Hmmmmmmm....
Now I get why phone are always getting smaller....
