They certainly do exist. The speed difference between OS9.2.1 and OSX is astonishing. The thing is, most of the people that I know that have Macs and don't like OSX are graphic designers that must use Photoshop (which until recently was not OSX compatible) and Quark (which for some reason was just updated but is not OSX compatible). I don't think these people (graphic designers!+*nix =ouch!) are candidates for a *nix distro of any kind though.
I wouldn't normally reply to a reply that would not have normally been made but you make some good points. Of course the desire to spell the name 'Britney Spears' correctly was completely absent. Secondly, sometimes you must buy gifts for people who don't think they need them, i.e. mouthwash for the stinkmouthed.
Back in my day we had to run string and tin cans to people we wanted to talk to. Seriously, it isn't so much the telephone as the gateways that a telephone with some bandwidth would open up. Also, I was speaking more generally about 'new technology' i.e. WiFi, 3G et al.
Some of us are 'in the office' when we are sitting on the beach or just hanging out at home with the family. Technologies such as this might allows us to alter the paradigm and give workers less reason to need to 'get away from it all'
Did you want to run a warez server on your cellphone? Publish documents to the web? I think upstream on a phone is probably limited to 'thanks for the packet, it was good' over and over again or text messages.
None of these are even funny. I am sure there are good news stories going unremarked today. How irresponsible is it to devote every posting, all day to a joke that stopped being funny after the first story?

True enough. However, those plans do not have big X's on them signifying the location of any of the buildings contents. For instance, if you had 5 identical buildings on the same block with the server located in one of them the plans would not tell you anything you needed to know.
Scary movies? All you gotta watch is the news. Hate to say it, but from what I've seen, if your kid is gone for more than a day and you don't know where he or she is, they're probably dead.

--It's a joke, laugh.--
I don't get the joke. You telling me to laugh doesn't make it funny either.
But this is the same as buying stolen goods. In creating a demand for used cd's you encourage sales of new cds. After all in order for a cd to be sold as used it must at some point be sold as new.
Why disable, when you can get one with no region coding at all. Look at this. You can get them on ebay for about US$149. Not only is it region free, you can watch PAL or NTSC, you can listen to Mp3's and watch all the VCD/SVCD's you want...
Or in anticipation of many orders they ordered a whole boatload of them at $400... In fact, if this order was large enough it could have caused toshiba to step up and increase manufacturing speed, which increased supply, which drove the price down to it's current level. We may have Apple to thank for the low price of the firefly.
I need this where I work, everyone else turns the heat up so high I feel like I am melting. If a had a 'cool' carbon jumpsuit I would be so comfortable.
I don't like to nitpick but all those NHL games are property of the NHL. That is why the stations have to broadcast that part about how the game should not be rebroadcast, etc without the express written consent of the NHL. Just because something is on a station does not mean they automagically own the content therein.

Next time send the mail room guy. It will make his week!
Man, if I could say I had never watched Law & Order I might work for a fortune 500 company too. Oh well, next time.
Of course you would. Then again, would Biargon the Destroyer be better? I have worked for that guy and it aint no picnic.
You saw that on Law & Order. Admit it. It was the one where that company sold the defective pacemakers. TV 'tells' me stuff too.
I tend to take people more seriously when their name has numerals in it. You apparently missed a memo.

Can we all pitch in and get one of these for Brittney Spears?

Good point. Maybe by that point there will be a thick blanket of 8021.1b covering all the urban areas.

You obviously have not met him. He is a grade A asshole. Not to mention the fact that most of 'his' work is done by his apprentices/slaves.
Bit whoop.
This is one of the funniest types I have seen in a while.

Do I smell a worthwhile reality TV show in the making? Hunt the spammer.

If it had been something like Band of Brothers on HBO it could have been magnificent. There have been good mini-series projects.

Which is why I mentioned the stackability of the cubes. You could pack a cargo plane full of these things.
