Not this slashdotter! I'm for the bust out some consumer friendly, nicely priced, easy to use way of buying music approach. Leave the users (aka: long time customers sick of being gouged) and technology alone please!
So if I mark darnellmc as a friend, then he should be able to (with out any moral problems) share his music with me right? I'm mean how the the record industry get me because I share with my freinds:-)
Man I just relized that this could lead to the result of hacking computers for dialing out on their slower 1400 baud modem connections. What Irony!

I must say I missed that one. Taxes from where? How would he go after them? I personally think Nader's pro's completely out weight his cons. If what you refer to this is actually a con (not saying it isn't just need more info). He makes a lot of sence when it comes to corporate crime, foreign affairs, campaign finance reform.

Yeah but at least the Green party doesn't take corporate money. Leading to not being influenced by big business.

That is percicley why I vote Green And contrary to populuar belief more and more people are voting for them. It is not throwing you vote a way (quite the opposite). California did really well. Couple highlights from the site.
26 Greens elected or reelected in California
69 victories in 2002, 37 on November 5 - our best year yet
I think there are always going to be both types of people in the industry, those that understand and except what consumers want even if that includes OSS and more options/rights. And there will be those that only care about profits. Unfortunetly as history has shown, profits (or should I say more profits) will win out over anything else.
Yes, and if you watched Futurerama last night you'd learn that when it just gets to hot we can send all the suv's exhaustin one direction propelling us further a way from the sun so we may cool a down a bit.

Don't we all moderate articles? I mean how hard is it not to take part in something you aren't interested in. Why are you even wasting time posting here when you can easily go to the next article you are interested in. Do you post to every/. article? Man God help you if you do.
Bull shit. Your attitude is exactly why NOTHING will change. Every election for that matter is a attempt to "control the senate". Try voting for the candidate that you actaully think is good (you'll feel better about it). If we all change we will finally be able to see how much better this country could actually be.
Do not trust the current stock price. No one knows what's going to happen tomorrow. Unless you have a magic crystal ball. Do you? it is Halloween.
If MS does get a ass kicking tomorrow and the stock market reacts negatively.. DO NOT WORRY. Short term fluctuation of the Market is not as important as the long term.
Very good point. Plus Microsoft is able to do what I wish I could do, and that is to be able to finally off the wet soggy worm that refuses to die that is Kmart.
Why is the root name copied in all open source software of the proprietary version in which it competes? Its unimaginative, it often cause problems legally, it sounds like a runner up solution instead of something possibly better.

I can tell you work for the Recording industry by
1. the nature of your post defending large record industries.
and
2. your handle is "RatBastard"
How much?
KIDDING!
There is a place in Delhi where you can buy any pirated MS software. Everyone knows about that. But there are hardly any raids there.
That makes sence, since the cost of MS software in most countries is like trying to save up for a car.
Well you know what the say around Microsoft. "A happy developer is one without AIDS". Yep, that's what they say.

Yes but /. smells sooo nice when it starts to ferment!
Well, I have been known to club a baby seal in my time. :-)
What if I told you, you could do exactly that but without paying!
I think your looking for the "Cell Phone WHYFOR"
Transmeta: Microsoft, I need you. I'm sooo sorry. Please I won't try and hurt you again.
Microsoft: I don't know if it can work anymore. These are tuff times baby.
Transmeta: Please, oh Please!
Microsoft: You still with Linux?
Transmeta: Ohh noo I was just using Linux to my advantage, I really love you.
Microsoft: Well, ok. We'll try and make it work.

3-state Bit speaks for Jonny Ringo as well. Jonny Ringo doesn't even have cable! Cost to much.
-ps Jonny Ring like talking about himself in the third person.

Thoughts?
There's no such thing as bad publicity.
oh man! that's our problem. MS is doing it to themselves on purpose to get bad articles, it just helps them! Quite posting bad MS aritcles!
Have you ever been modded "Off Topic"? Well its the same thing. :-) Only we can't mod people with cell phones. Damn
