Nope. 3G as defined by the ITU is a cellular link that offers 384Kbps speeds. UMTS (or 3GSM or WCDMA, its other names) has a maximum speed of 384Kbps. It's the standard used by GSM operators, as an evolution of GPRS/EDGE. GPRS is 2.5G, EDGE is like 2.75G. UMTS/3GSM/WCDMA however requires a complete new network with radios, etc. Also, UMTS will have an average of 250Kpbs due to load, etc.
CDMA 1xRTT is equivalent in speeds to EDGE, while CDMA 1xEV-DO is *much* faster than UMTS. It tops at 2Mbps (remember UMTS tops at 384Kbps), and its average is 500-700Kpbs.
WCDMA (or UMTS or 3GSM, names used to reduce the confusion between WCDMA and CDMA) has a maximum speed of 384Kbps. CDMA EV-DO has a maximum speed of 2Mbps.
Average on WCDMA (or "3G" using the wrong name) is 250Kpbs. Average on CDMA EV-DO is 500Kbps.
That's because the OS will manage the memory for you. The idea is that there's no need to manually close programs. Applications are sent to background or "minimized" - Unlike Palm OS the Windows Mobile is able to multitask.
Hmmm. There's an open standard: SyncML. There are SyncML clients for different mobile platforms and desktop/laptop OS. It's implemented and distributed on Symbian OS, it is part of Bluetooth OBEX, it's available as a tool for Windows Mobile.
Lawyers make so much money in lawsuits that they are willing to pay the most for each click on ads with this word.
There are rummours these are one of the highest paying keywords around.
Some people will make anything to have these ads on their pages - even use hidden text to try and catch the Google bot attention. This is the "spamming" in the article.
I vote for the Toshiba Portege M200 though. Much higher resolution (12.1" XVGA+ 1400x1050 pixels), faster Centrino (1.5GHz on mine, 1.6GHz on newer versions), SD card reader, PC Card slot, USB 2.0. And a very cool built-in accelerometer that is underused, but there's a demo application available called WinGimcana.
I actually use this - as a Server Search tool! Check some instructions... Not sure if it is going to work with this new Google Desktop Search version - but will test soon.
The OP was obviously referring to the Question... But what is the question now?

Secondly, FF is NOT faster, despite the FUD that FF zealots like to spread. I've timed both and it takes FF several seconds longer to start up as well as to render a complex page.
Well said... Check previous/. story with browser speed comparison. Opera is faster, but IE is actually faster than Firefox in most operations.
Personally, I'd be quite happy to see all the ad-supported sites die. I'd miss my yahoo mail, and google would probably have to get bought by the U.N., but the rest of the commercial crap can either survive on donations, subscriptions and merchandise or just plain go.
Great... So, are you willing to pay for content, I understand?
I understand blocking pop-up/unders, but there are some problems here. First this can hinder some sites that do use this functionality (like spawning a new window for a secure bank interaction) useless.
Second, some people mistakenly take BLOCK POP-UP/UNDERS with BLOCK ADVERTISE. Not all advertise is bad. How would my site survive without it? How would Slashdot survive without it?
The problem is that on blocking the pop-up/under series, most software also block banner advertising. While this could be a good thing in terms of performance years ago, with current take up on broadband it does cause a hit in publishing sites that rely on advertising to survive.
Other day I was replying to a thread on microsoft.public.pocketpc where the user asked why Microsoft does not include some advanced functionality on Windows Mobile devices.
I replied that Windows Mobile is an OS, and as such only the basic programs are supplied, and developers are working and releasing applications for the platform.
The user didn't want to buy the programs! He wanted everything to be part of the OS and ready to use out of the box.
So, really, what do users want and what do they need?
I know not to complain, but I can't resist. I know/. is not aup-to-date news (I mean it is, sometimes), but this thing was promissed by the same company, during the CeBIT back in March 2003. Perhaps candidate to the Wired Vaporware list next year?
It certainly will help filtering some of the spam sites out of Google rank and so on, but the links will still be there in blog comments, bulletin boards, etc. The Googlebot will not follow the links, but human readers won't see the NOFOLLOW tag - and they'll click. It means that moderators still have manual work to do.

Motorola not only is already selling Linux-based Smartphones since September 2004, but in addition to that they also licence Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync to synchronise with Exchange Servers.
The OP is using AdSense when in fact should be AdWords. Advertsisers use AdWords, publishers use AdSense.

Everyone talking about Remote Desktop, Terminal Services, VNC - but these solutions require a port open on the server and firewall.
LogMeIn and GoToMyPC only need an outgoing connection.
I use GoToMyPC, and with a keyphrase plus a one time password automatically generated.

I've filled the form. I've filled the form since 1980, every time I go there. I'm refering to having an agent actually *asking* me about the address.
I was never asked for addresses or a return ticket. The most I was questioned was something like "What city are you visiting?"...
