A First-Person Shooter without ze mouselook and WASD? I think not, my dear fellow. Fetch me zome more escargot.
Congratulations on mixing accents and phrases while at the same time retaining absolutely zero consistancy with your phonetic letter replacement scheme.
I've never understood how people can believe that the Bible is true, yet at the same time not find it important enough to read in the original languages.
I've never understood how people can believe that the Bible is true despite the real possibility that many scrolls were excluded, and most of it was written hundreds of years after the fact. Hundreds people. We can't even get a story straight 5 minutes after it happened. So we're going by a few centuries of word of mouth, and then select parts of recovered scrolls, and a couple of peoples interpretations of those. Sounds reasonable to me.
That's less than half the distance to the moon. I think anyone that was a mere 160,000km from a star, exploding or otherwise, would have a lot more to worry about than their credit cards getting demagnetized. Like spontaneous atomization, perhaps.
Damn, that's amazing. I'm just glad I got to enjoy those pictures in the privacy of my own home instead of reading this from work. The detail is incredible once the eyes combine the two images. Everything seems more vivid.
For example, the mysterious white stains all over the pants of #28....
I prefer to store my H2 in the garage. And I'm not setting any more cars on fire. The last time I did that, I almost went to jail for insurance fraud. I still don't get how it's fraud if it was actually on fire, but that's a story for another time.
Don't lie to these whippersnappers. We both know the pails of hydrogen carried you uphill both ways. Or maybe you've forgotten.
You remind me of one of my patients.. I told him I had some bad news, and some worse news. He asked for the worst news first, so I told him, "I'm afraid you have metasticized prostate cancer."
In most of rural America its suicide by guns. Another great idea. If your going to kill yourself why does it have to leave a puddle of blood for the people who are already grieving by your loss to clean up.
I'm pretty sure wrist-cutting leaves a fairly large mess as well.
You don't work for a Rat Poison manufacturer by chance?
Dave420, 699308, there is no such thing as "even fairer." Either something is fair, or it's not. I'd argue that no single action can be fair to everyone, so it's a moot point. You give tell me about the world who's missing out on 0.6% of the US's GDP, and I'll tell you about the guy who's flipping burgers at McDonalds, but he doesn't make enough to pay for his elderly parent's rent, so they're getting kicked out next month. But guess what? He's still paying taxes, and part of his income is going to help someone else.
The second link, "stories," should have been called "If you've been living in a bubble for the past 30 years, this will bring you up to speed." Seriously. The only thing I've seen more targeted at morons is the IRS Tax Return FAQ.
I think this is a Good Thing. Not because kids don't need to be accountable for their whereabouts -- hell, they need more accountability -- but because if something like a tracking device is accepted at a young age, it will become more accepted as they grow into adults.
Next thing you know, they'll be putting GPS on our cars.
What? The BNETD case was about violating the DMCA through reverse engineering.. That has nothing to do with the right to resell software. (Not that I'm saying the decision was right, just unrelated). You might as well quote Roe v. Wade as the defining decision for gun control.
Here's the link, btw, so you can read it for yourself: http://www.eff.org/IP/Emulation/Blizzard_v_bnetd/2 0020408_eff_bnetd_pr.html
There's some question about the digital equivelant of the First Sale Doctrine -- eg, can you resell a song you bought on iTunes -- and there is some questionable phrasing in the DMCA, but I haven't heard of any lawsuit over reselling the physical media that contains the software.
My point was, in response to the grandparent, that Blizzard cannot legally prohibit the resale of their CDs, regardless of what they put in the EULA, and I still maintain that. I can write an EULA that says you're not allowed to own another competitor's software if you purchased mine, but that doesn't make it legal or enforcable.
Hmm.. what about cases where they intentionally weren't backed up, or the backups were erased? Yeah, you might be able to do forensic recovery of a deleted item on a backup (or the original media), but then again, you might not. And your system might be great for eliminating false positives, but what about false negatives? I want to instill doubt that I ever said something in an e-mail, so I proceed with steps 1 and 2. It's not just about forging evidence, it's also about denying that it ever existed. (Something I'm sure Enron and Sharman Networks can attest to).
If they did not want people selling/giving their old copies to others, they should not have allowed it according to the EULA.
Right. The problem with that is that it's illegal.. In the US anyway. If you buy an item, you have the right to resell it without permission from the original copyright holder.. commonly known as the "Right of First Sale."
He can't type, you insensitive clod. The least you could've done is create a link to http://www.medschool.pitt.edu/.
Not to be confused with "ice water." Ohhhh, trickey!
Hunter S. Thompson just died you insensitive clod.

Carry on, nothing to see here.

"You've got alzheimers."
"Well," he said, "at least I ain't got cancer."
What group carries TV series? I've been searching.. maybe my provider just doesn't carry the right group.
Sounds great.
Sounds like they just need a few toothbrushes and they're all set.
Don't hang up.

There's a thing called free will, plus the randomness of genetics. You can't always blame the parents.
Oh yes you can. Watch:
Stupid parents! Why don't you give your kid a hug every once in a while? Now look what you've done.

Life ain't fair. Get over it.
conserving energy makes sense from a purely 100% economic point of view.
Oh, so now we're destroying energy are we? I agree, this blatant disregard for the First Law of Thermodynamics is completely unacceptable.
