So when I went to the IRS site to pay my taxes and it said I was the 1 millionth visitor and won an iPhone, that wasn't real? Now I kno why I've been waiting months for this thing to come in the mail.
you must not be familiar with the Thinkpad line. They all look somewhat like that and have for a long time. Some people prefer that simple business only look. I personally try not to be concerned with outward appreance, even though Thinkpads do look dated.
While you make a valid point. I believe it was drinking from the cup that made you immortal provided that you don't cross that certain point in the temple.
Yeah, I frequently let my voicemail box get full then fly through and delete before the person can get one word out. Unless, like you said, I missed something I knew was important.
another option would be to pay the 10-15 dollar flat fee for unlimited texting that most providers have. I know that is what we use here at work because of the high volume of SMS messages generated by monitoring software.
I know they aren't TLD's but has anyone noticed ads on tv that have URLs like www.37CreditHelp.com or www.62CollegeDerees.com I always wondered why they do that. It's kind of a red flag to me when I see that.
I love horror movies, almost 3/4 of my DVD collection of the horror genre. But they don't really make me scared, it's hard for you to relate to the situation. Games on the other hand put you in the world. I remember when I was playing Condemned and my wife was like how could a video game be scary?. She also didn't understand "how I knew where I was going". Which showed me she didn't understand how emersed one can be in a game.
Interviewer: Sir, what was the reason for leaving your last job?
Employee: Actually, I started a fire in a customers house and denied it ever happend, even though there were eyewitnesses. Needless to say the incident received national attention and my company spent a lot of money in litigation.
Most small or medium sized companies can stay with XP for awhile if it is working for them. But when you get into larger companies you have to keep in mind 'how long does MS plan on supporting XP'. Most larger companies will not run on unsupported software or hardware. It might seem trivial, considering that's how most good sysadmins see xp. But, from a business stand point it's an unnecessary risk.
I've noticed unprofessionalism to some extent using our corporate IM (SameTime). I have managers that are remote from where I am and they are high paid, and more than double my age and they do things like 'lol' and 'l8er!!' I just found it to be awkward like I was talking to my little sister.

It didn't work out so well from what I recall.

It's called a typo. Go slam keys on your 3270.
We have about 20 Cobol programmers. We still run CISC and what have you. You can have them. Cheap.

I agree, the film in no way potrayed the knight as having been killed.
Um...Street View != Aerial Photos.
Thats pretty cool. I got my last name in binary a few years back. It wraps around my upper arm. Thankfully I only have a 3 letter last name.
Why would this be modded flamebait? I totally agree here...My devices are as accurate as they need to be...beyond that who cares?

True, but I went to catholic school so I was forced to swallow a bunch of other BS. (Save your Priest/Altar Boy jokes please)
Thank you for reminding me of my traumatizing childhood.
Sir I don't know where you do your trading, but I can get you 2 baskets of peas for 5 ears of corn.
I read this post 3 times and there wasn't one bad analogy, let alone an analogy in the thing. Lots of sarcasm yes, and very much appreciated.
How is an alpha release of Mandriva news?

It's not like mice are that smart to begin with. Then again the same can be said about the general population.
I would have to agree with you sir. Nothing pisses me off more than hippies.
