So how is the average consumer supposed to know that it's a feature when they demo it at the store and know the one they purchased is supposed to perform any different?... maybe because there is no difference...it's like sony wants to fail.
Well as a 360 owner, this is definatley good news, considering the stories I've heard...but a good idea to prevent the hassle of repairs and warranties is to invest the 20 dollars on an intercooler, just in case, you never know when you are going to have a Madden marathon.
the point isn't the 2 gb mailboxes. it's the fact that you don't have to have a server staff to maintain your exchange server and backups, people use gmail because it's easy and accessible....oh yeah and it's free...
Maybe I am a miracle of science, but I've always been able to tell which way a smell was coming from...you follow the smell until it becomes stronger then stronger then you will eventually get to the source...I don't see how this is ground breaking...
to an extent yes...but there are a lot of mixed variety stations...Top 40 stations...where anyone from a 10 year old to a grandma can listen to...of course there are stations like that on xm or sirius but the satellite stations also have very specific genres...comedy...heavy metal...that could fit ads to a particular niche... in larger cities you have more variety on standard radio...but it smaller cities and even rural you are stuck with only a few choices on normal radio...especially in the bible belt.
Here's the thing Einstein...I never said anything about sony other than I am not interested...I never said it wasn't a good idea...regardless you'd have to own all the sony hardware that you mentioned...whereas the skype offering is for people who have a broadband connection and little else...oh and it's free...
While I couldn't care less about Sony's offering, Skype's is something I'd be interested in, I have Time Warner digital cable and they offer on demand services, but they are very bland, a couple good music videos, a couple comedy central shows, and a few other good things among a bunch of crap. No variety really, I'd love to have a service that offers just about everything that's on tv and the click of a button.
If google could advertise on satellite radio that would be ideal, because the stations are geared towards a specific genre, whether it be sports or rap music, and you could gear ads towards a certain demographic.
I tried it, it was boring so I ran around and and bothered people because there was NOTHING to do. I actually made the police blotter on the second life page. THAT was an accomplishment.
ok. so this will make it harder for people to access child porn...and that's a good thing, but not impossible...only an inconveience really. Why not spend money and develop a systems that accuratley tracks CP traders and frequent CP site visitors. or maybe a better system to track sex predators on social networking sites, which is an even scarier problem. The blocking is a good step, but not a very big one, a lot more ground needs to be gained but you have to start somewhere I guess.
I would imagine they could be, considering the points you made. They should be able to sue for any theoretical loss, whether it be their business or whatever. I mean considering I've seen companies get sued for a lot less, this atleast seems like it could have some legitimate claims.
That would be like making the post office open every letter then copy and store them...I guess it's not EXACTLY the same thing because it's all digital, but it's still illogical, and a waste of resources.
Ok ok I agree the video game industry existed...obviously...and online gaming existed...but online gaming on consoles has always been kinda shitty...take PS2 online for example...Microsoft came out with xbox live and added a lot to console gaming that no one ever did before....that's innovation....I never said they invented online gaming...cmon
Well technically I would agree that MS plays catch-up most of the time. They are always innovating the way they do business, and in turn setting a standard so to speak for commercial software. Two examples of how they have changed certain markets in the recent years would be.NET and Xbox Live. They may not be innovating on their flagship stuff i.e. Windows, Office, but they move forward in other areas.
He said
Actually, to be honest, there is no **REAL** reason to upgrade to the new Linuz kernel eitherWhich would imply that he agrees that there is no REAL reason to upgrade to Vista...implying that he is only upgrading for the sole purpose of running the latest Windows, or in other words he's a toolbox
Aside from the fact that the newest Linux kernel comes with a variety of new features and changes, a kernel upgrade is easy, and oh yeah....Free. Upgrading to Vista costs money. I'm actually glad you will be upgrading to Vista on day 1, because only a fool would pay someone to use software that raped their system resources. Wrong audience MS fanboy
It's not really news as it is just reaffirmation that the weakest link in security is the human factor. It's been a known problem that someone could just walk in and pretend to be tech support/help desk/repair for as long as their has been computers.
Heh, you could also profit by selling the Vista License, as I'm sure it came with one of the better licenses, not the Home Basic or whatever.
sure beats the Pentium 133 16mb ram 1.0gb HDD laptop running debian with no X the FSF sent me.

or was that 'determined' BECAUSE they accidentily killed one.
Right, just because it's possible to do doesn't mean do it...I really can't think of a real practical use of that to be honest.

Just because Zonk hates MS obviously means the rest of the world doesn't use MS products.

I always imagined him as the guy in Grandma's boy that lives with his parents and has the car bed.
So I didn't really lose my virginity? it was just VR? Damn

No, the parent made himself look like a tool.

the Iraqi study group is slow. but that doesn't change the fact that the rest of the population had this idea in like 2003.
