I have never actually seen a case where that "joke" actually worked (kinda like the whole "are belong" bs). I agree, let it go.

What is real? 3d vision is simply caused by differing signals from each eye to your brain. As long as you can get those signals sent properly, does it really matter how those signals get generated? Free your mind;)
One of the good things about IBM keyboards is that in a pinch, you can use one as a weapon. Very solid compared to the cheap keyboards I usually buy. I wish I could get one of those 80's vintage keyboards that weighed like 20 pounds and had a very pronounced click when you pressed the keys.
It's limited by the ROM size on the cartridge. You could put a larger ROM on, but then you need to add more address lines to access the added memory, so generally once you pick a size, you are kind of stuck.
From what I can observe from the writeup, Gray appears to be one of the "experts" that I refer to as "theory whores". Hard problems need to be tested, but some people seem to think that they can arrive at good results from an unproven theory. Anybody who has actually tested difficult problems to any extent could tell you that things don't always go as planned. An improvement with might work in theory, sometimes results in disaster due to minor points that the theory does not take into account.
Also, it bothered me that he objected to Paul's work biasing one side. It was almost like he thought it was a bug, but there was a good reason for biasing (reduce false positives). So my advice for Paul is, until you actually implement your idea, don't go trying to say that it is better than somebody else's method.
Believe it or not, not everybody wants to go into space. If I were given the option to go into space for free, I doubt that I would take it. I can always use a buttload of cash though.
Well, it's not the greatest name, but it at least makes more sense than "Evolution". I have no clue why somebody would decided to use that name. Of course, now that I think about it, meaningless software names are more common than I thought. Still, I think it is good to either give something a completely original name, or a name which has a reasonably meaningful name. Maybe I'm just clueless, after all, when I first heard the URL amazon.com, I expected it to be a porn site (think Xena).
Actually in IV, they didn't really intend to change the past (the transparent aluminum part wasn't exactly planned). They went back to take a whale which presumably wouldn't be missed, so they were trying to get something from the past without actually changing the past.
This just goes to show that there are far too many people with too much time on there hands. Reminds me of the people in my home town who would drive around on Friday night clogging up traffic for no reason.
I wish Disney would hit McDonald's with a gag order. Everytime they release a new cartoon movie, I am sick of hearing about it before it even hits the theaters.
Don't do it. Ogg is good, but you should create it from the original cd, not from a lossy recording like Mp3, otherwise you are asking for bad quality. Oh... and if you don't have the original cd, well cry me a river.
Books tend to be more in depth and have friendlier formats than the HOWTOs. I peronally don't like any doc called a HOWTO because I have been burned several times by HOWTOs which were missing crucial details.
Well, that is a fairly trivial modification of his technique. He just checks the probability and uses a threshold to make a boolean result. You could just start assiging colors to probability ranges. I'm not sure what the benefit would be to having a few words from the text. For me (and most likely other people as well), that is enough of an inconvencience that I may as well just scan through the entire email.
True, but it is convenient to not have the unit sitting somewhere loose in the car. Especially if you are like me, and tend to take the curves kinda hard. It's kinda distracting trying to recover the cd player that slid across the floor during the last curve.

Doh! That last sentence was advice for Gary, not Paul.

If I am not mistaken, they disappeared because they had problems making money, not because people weren't using it.

Dude, it's 33 *months* not years.

Silly rabbit, you don't put transistors on human hairs- you put them on chicken feathers.
Some clueless moderator needs to look up redundant in a dictionary.
He is one of the people specificly mentioned as ineligible.

vi is user friendly, it's just selective about who its friends are.

I guess so. I am not aware of any puns involving the two editors, just the debate over which is better.
It just goes to show that size doesn't matter.

Can I get an english translation of the poster's last sentence?
You shouldn't have that much hair there. Clearly, your barber isn't fulfilling all of his duties.
