    I'm no expert, heck i'd call it a stretch even as a beginner, but from what i've read, you'd need an FXO line for the phone line to come in to, then however many phones you have, you need as many FXS lines.

    Asterisk can then ring whichever the caller select from the menu, which is possible, it seems, according to the article and voip-info.org!

    I'm gonna have to make me one of these boxes :D

    The Oki 4200/4300 is a great small workgroup printer, about £200 cheaper than the equiv HP

    Depending on the format of those images, you should be able to mount them on linux with a loopback device:

    mount -r -t iso9660 -o loop /path/to/image.iso /mount/point

    I'm a sysadmin, but a nice one.

    I'd install everything but Folding. If you drop it to the bottom, you're getting at odds with staff, deliberately delaying him working - someone whos likely a revenue generating employee. The last thing you want is to get a bad name in the company. ("Oh, dont go to X, he's difficult")

    And how can you say people-who-are-working's computers dont have spare cycles? Even our terminal servers have spare cycles, if they didnt, the users would be banging down my door!

    cron yes, apache.. server yes, workstation no. If its a workstation, it really only ought to be used when needed!

    The few Unix apps that are worth the trouble of running in an X11 window on a Windows box, already have native ports.

    Really? Wheres the Windows port of Evolution?

    Evolution is one of the big reasons pulling me to linux on my home pc (ok, not a great reason, but whatever :p)

    I think 3dnow pro doesnt really include enough "extra" stuff to be worthwhile. It's mostly made up of the SSE instructions..

    Yeah, could you imagine what would happen if ISP's let all their customers connect to remote SMTP servers by default. Just think of the rubbish the unscrupulous side of the internet would make!
