Yesterday evening I watched the first "Q" episode, and on Monday I watched "Bread and Circuses".
Last week I watched my tape of Quantum Leap (the first episode where Sam leaps into the Jet Fighter tester).
Haven't watched broadcast television for about three years ever since I got tired of Fox overrunning it with sports.
I watch the 8 discovery channels mostly and record the stargates/BSG on fridays. You know - so I can watch them during the week without commercial intruding?
And to be fair - I have bought all the stargate series on DVD -
I don't know if this was intended to be funny, but it cracked me up. I guess I've been out of the industry so long that I foget that Windows admins take hourly or daily crashes for granted. What a sad sad world it must be.
Really? If my PC had crashed anytime within the last three years I'd of been pissed.
win 2k and win xp properly maintained don't crash. anyone who says otherwise is spreading fud.
The microsoft NDA is tame compared to the one I had to sign from a texan firm that took over the company I work for in Illinois.
I'm really relying on Illinois law to let me use Microsofts NDA over the one I was forced to sign - since If I leave the company - I won't be allowed to even do a personal website, and I'll have to report every job I have for the rest of my life to them.
The alternative was to lose my job immediately with no severance.
My one saving factor is that Illinois has a statute where they look for "reasonable" terms when it comes to these NDA's and employment terms, and when they look at the one I had to sign, and the one mirosoft has - I'm HOPING they accept Microsofts as a reasonable and fair agreement.
Honest - It's cake compared to some of the crap I've seen.

I dislike the business model, I don't have the time to compete against kids with 12 hours or more leisure time hours devoted daily, and honestly, I don't have the time to make the "online social connections" to succeed in the genre.

So If I drink 18 beers and wake up in the morning sober and full of energy I can't drive until six in the afternoon?
Some people digest alcohol differently. I can drink a full case of beer over the period of 7 hours, sleep, and wake up with no ill effects. No headache, no hangover, no nothing.
I have frineds that get hung over after a beer and a half.
The so called.8 limit isn't about safety for us in the United States - It's nothing more than a cash grab by the state.
I always looked at it thusly, to say who was the better captain goes like this - "If I had to choose which captain? If I was serving on the ship - I'll take Picard, if I had a choice which captain I'd be? Kirk - all the way...."

Picking up slack for the office broad that has a "cough cough" sick kid racks up hours. Over the course of a year - in addition to her two weeks of vacation time, and the 5 sick days and a personal day, she racked up close to 130 hours of "Oh I gotta leave" time.
That's not counting her smoker time outside - which she managed to do at least ten minutes out of each hour.

For four hundred dollars - I can have a 21 inch crt that outperforms the 17 inch crt I have at work.
When it costs four hundred dollars for an LCD that matches or exceeds the performance of the 21 inch crt I'll switch.
