Thank you! As someone who works in an escalated department, this is exactly the problem. Dell can offer nothing in this scenario knowing that the insurance company will be initiating a lawsuit. They will likely have to settle with him anyway, so there's no point in paying out until that time comes, otherwise they'll pay twice and admit guilt at the same time.
The representatives on the other end of the phone are probably just hearing circular vent-fests where, upon getting tired of explaining all of the problems he's endured (that are compensated by the insurance company, of course), he then ends up ranting about the language barrier (if the focus of the post is anything to be believed). What the hell can you do with that after listening to it 3 or 10 times? "I'm sorry Sir, but we can go no further with this conversation. We sympathize with your situation, however we can give no official comment at this time. Thank you for your business." CLICK.
Or just plain aging. Slowly, but surely our telomeres (the junk tails on the ends of our DNA) get eroded, and eventually the chromosomes themselves begin to degrade. Since most of our cells are not meant to divide frequently, most don't express telomerase to repair the damage.
There isn't much of anything going on here that President Roosevelt didn't do in WW2, and in many ways there is less. We seem to have survived that war. Somehow I think Germany's actions were a little more severe than Al Qaeda's in terms of death and conflict.
Taking Iraq out of the picture since it has NOTHING to do with the individuals with whom you are at war, you are comparing a few thousand deaths to sixty million people. Get some god damned perspective. Roosevelt also had the support of the allied world.
If you aren't part of, or otherwise helping Al Qaeda, you aren't very likely to run afoul of the Law of War issue
Tell that to Maher Arar and countless Guantanamo detainees.
p53 is upregulated in so many different ways, too, and nobody's sure what the predominant pathway is. Nature has been churning out these like clockwork for the past few years.
I've been trying to get my lab to call me "Sybr" (pronounced Cyber) because all I do is real-time PCR with Roche's FastStart DNA MasterPLUS SYBR Green.
We scientists are geekier than anyone had imagined.
I remember sitting (painfully) through this one when someone at the front, obviously having had enough, shouted "How the hell did the humans lose the first time? These guys are IDIOTS"
The fundamental concepts behind Milton Friedman's economics have encouraged the short term, profit-maximizing solutions that are now rampant within the majority of our large corporations. I honestly don't give a damn about the shareholders; the company's duty is to its customers first, its employees second, and the shareholders a distant third.

What part of having read 'Atlas Shrugged' don't you understand?
Being an asshole for at least a month afterward is a pre-requisite.
**Aside, I enjoyed the book; people just get really arrogant after reading Rand.
Cue faster bandwidth speeds...
I work for an (unnamed) Cable provider in Canada set to release a 20Mbit service... I know others are already there.
No, it's just difficult... like getting a dog in a bathtub.
Ahh, moderate you offtopic, then underrated multiple times. I like it.
Amen. SF3 was fantastic... many a day I spent NOT studying while parrying everything my roommate threw at me.

I agree. Smash their wrists with the hammer too...
Oh, and gouge out their eyes for good measure; God knows we don't need a blink-typing system available.
Yes, yes you are.
Dude, this car kicks ass! ..and I can watch Madagascar while I'm driving!
---------
Madagascar plays:
"What kind of music do you like, Gloria?"
"Hippo-Hop. Woo-hoo, yeeah baby!"
-----------
Hahaha, DUDE, those animals are so FUCKING funny, they make me want to merge without looking!

That was just fantastic. Thanks for making my day.
Rogers here in Canada has been using only one term for the past 3 years: Wireless.

Digg it!
Am I the only one who snickered at this?

Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast...
Is that a metaphor, or should I start backing away slowly?
I'm an unemployed ditch digger, you insensitive clod!
They'll also make Gandalf in Love.
Brokeback Helm's Deep?
Aww, I got told.
I remember sitting (painfully) through this one when someone at the front, obviously having had enough, shouted "How the hell did the humans lose the first time? These guys are IDIOTS"
Sci-fi fans are fantastic hecklers.

Insight mixed with yo' mamma jokes. Who knew?
