For giggles I read this website. It's like others I've seen. Why do these people with "radical" ideas always think there is tie in for a conspiracy theory?
I agree, it's not like one hit wonders are anything new. I've always thought it a rarity when I find an album that is good from first to last song. I think (I haven't done any research on this) there is a correlation between bands that write their own stuff and don't sample from some other band and an album that I will listen to from the first to last track.
That's not always the case. If you bid a lot lower than the other proposals submitted it could show that you have a supreme misunderstanding of the work to be preformed. As such proposals can and are lost be bidding too low.
Right now some engineer is breaking out in a cold sweat thinking "Sh!t... Did we think about that?"
Seriously though I agree with you; I'm sure they think about stuff like this, it's not like printers are a new invention, they have been around long enough where people that design them know what potential problems need to be accounted for.
That would mean that we can just leave them anywhere, right?...Well, Ill just open my truckbed with all these computer junk parts and gun it.
No thats either littering or dumping and that means your a slob who has no home training. Just one of my pet peeves, people who don't want their trash on their property but are more than will to go through all the trouble to dump it one someone else's property.
DCMA was made in to law in 1998, during the Clinton administration, so I agree that this isn't a political issue. I do think, however, that as the DMCA begins to impede on what law makers think is fair use when they are sitting in there own homes trying to watch a movie with the family that the DMCA will modified.
The more and more I read/. the more I see how selective some people can be in their rational. It's nice to see people are here like you that can see the whole picture.
Yep thats good cherry pick one case to make your point. Cause we all no that no one has ever been convicted for DUI resulting in a death and everyone that has ever committed software piracy has served jail time. Even in the article you chose it's not the governments fault it's the fault of the jury.
I agree that it's hard, but it's not impossible. My company just switched to Zimbra for mail and thats a pretty good web app. It's closer to Exchange than Google Apps is to Office in MHO. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect more. Maybe they should have kept it from public use for a while longer. First impressions count for a lot.
(To the spelling and grammar lurkers, I didn't spell check or grammar check, thanks for your understanding.)
Doesn't make it better. I really don't see google apps being a threat to office anytime soon. I used their spreadsheet program last night for the first time to plot some data for simple graph. The reason google apps is simple and easy to use is that it doesn't do much, like graphs and charts. Also preforming simple tasks can take a while for the the spreadsheet to update. Their are plenty of other options that are easy to use and easy to find both of Office and Open Office. I just don't see the reason to pay 50 bucks for this. It's only a competitive price if your offering a competitive product.
Of course if I'm wring about the charts etc I'm sure you all will let me know. Thanks in advance;)
It is really simple. Just like Linux itself took the lead, so will a particular installation system. As more people use it and it becomes more accepted, more people will gravitate to it and the cycle continues.... I can't say I agree with your optimism. How long has RPM been around RH6 at least right? What about APT? What about all the other forms... You can't just assume that the best will always win in the end, sometimes no one wins because all the solutions have goods and bads associated with them that make one more attractive than the other for one person but not for the next. The same could be said about desktop managers. Just because people have a choice doesn't mean that in the end one will win out over the others. And of course sometimes a solution that should have failed continues to exist based on stubbornness.
Why? The same reason we don't kill ourselves as soon as we realize we are mortal and their is nothing that will prevent our ultimate death. The same reason that makes us get up in the morning and go on with our lives. To make the most of the time we have.
Multiply 30 min x 1500 = 45,000 minutes, or 750 hours Yeah that sounds about right if you do each machine one at a time. I should hope a datacentre is a little more efficient than that.
I agree completly and would like to add have always wanted to add the following: This is the age of the inetrnet, like anyone needs to go in to a sketchy store anymore to buy pr0n.

Thanks for the link though.
I think it is some old flavor of Linux, I've never tried it though.
I kid I kid
But I do wonder if RMS has nightmares with people saying that.

It doesn't even have to be HD, it takes quite some time to transfer content from my Tivo to my computer.
What about the plasma riffle with the 40 watt range?
I don't know about that, but I do know that if I post this message 10 times I will get a free thingamajiggy in the mail. It works, my friend said so.
"We kill you less often than Dell" - Apple
Would make for a "Hi I'm a mac and I'm a PC" commercial.
Speaking of pet peeve, that should be you're a slob not your a slob. My mistake.

It's a shame you posted AC I would have put you on my friends list. My thoughts exactly.

The article was about movies works of fiction etc, not news/factual events.
I'm sorry this is the apple aisle, oranges are one aisle over.

It was a memo... ...
Did you get the memo?
Yeah I'll make sure you get another copy of that memo.
