As much of a geek as I am, I really could do without 40 gigs on my wrist. Especially since it's not solid state... I can't even imagine the problems this drive will have on small wearables... I have a hard enough time keeping my regular watch from not breaking, I would hate to have to worry about gigs of data as well.
My god, could that article could have been more general? I thought i might actually learn something I haven't thought of before. "Slap some small pc parts in a big picture frame and gut a store bought LCD monitor, install linux, good luck with the config" is not my idea of a good how-to..
I personally have experience with a family tech business, and let me tell you, in the beginning, it's the easiest way to hire people you trust, but in the end, it gets very frustrating when you tell your brother or girlfriend to do something from a boss stand point and they still see you as family.
I like to run a tight ship with my company and running it with family was not the best idea, because they see it as more of a living room than an office. I ended up finding other positions for my family members i had hired and hired a staff from the outside, everything has been smooth sailing since then.
I read the page... what I meant by a "photoshop image" was a image that was, just like the page said, digitally altered, not a true picture taken by a camera. The point I was trying to make in my post, was not arguing with the fact that the end result was indeed 1 gigapixel in size, but was just stating that, you can use all the digital tape you want, but it should not be considered a true picture.
And I could really give a fuck what points you want to give or take away from my posts, i'm just here posting my opinions.
It really doesn't matter if they are $4000... so where the original motorola brick phones. Hopefully these will give other companies ideas on how to make them better/faster/cheaper.
I would be ok with a single sign on capability for a certain category of sites (like all newspaper sites, all computer resellers, etc) but a single sign on for a variety of categories would just make me a little nervous. And plus, I have multiple identities for the various things I do on the web (business, personal, pr0n, etc) and I wouldn't be able to decide on one un/pw combo.
I dont know if I care so much about them shutting the trucks down, I care more about the tanker trucks and other transportation vechicles driving in their own lane!
I want a chip in my hand so when i pick up an item off of the shelf, it transmits the price to the chip and debits my checking account on file for me. That way I have no lines when i check out... weeeee!
*slaps forehead* this is probably the worst thing they could have done with the game... i'm a fan of the 2k3 engine and all, but i'm getting just about sick and tired of WW type shooters
... that was one of the problems with Defcon this year and in the last few years past... Yea the speakers speak about some interesting topics that usually aren't passed around in email or around the water cooler, but most of them are far from innovative unique thoughts....

Does anyone know the specs on the camera on this phone?

Personally, I would really like to see a desktop environtment that doesn't look, feel and act like every other desktop out there, MS included.

I've been staring at the center of the picture from a few inches away, but I just cannot seem to see the Tux figure in it.
I don't consider this to be gigapixel image, more of a high tech photoshop job than anything else.
I'll wait until there is a camera released that can take and store a 1 gig image before I get too hyped up.

Of course they are going to lower the price. They want to stay competitive. They did it with the PS, I have no doubt that they will with the PS2.
