    I wonder with these cameras springing up in more and more places and the spectre of face recognition software being added, I wonder if masks will become illegal...

    With this stuff going on perhaps there is a need for a new fasion statement, Burkas for everyone (you know those head to toe concealing black robes with only eye slits covered by lace worn by women in the more "strict" islamic cultures)

    The gameboy specs says it has a serial port.. why not hook a terminal to it? (just a matter of programming to make it work)

    Build a frame that holds the new imac via the mounting braket and also holds a USB keyboard and Touchpad. Also perhaps add a handle to carry it with.

    For extra points, add a clear touch sensitive tablet screen, and build your frame so it can do the tablet/laptop twist.

    Whatever else it has it should have removable batteries, AAA or AA batteries - It could come with rechargeable ones installed that recharge in the unit while docked. But the time will come where you are away from the dock and need a power boost, stop in at the local wallmart and pick up a few duracells and your OK again for a while. Otherwise you have to carry a charger with you.

    I prefer to say that it is more along the lines of tossing your empty bottle into someones trashcan they have set to the curb without a lid (it may not be "polite" and *some* people might not appreciate it too much....but you're not "stealing" their trash service by doing so). Unless they pay for trash removal by the pound.

    No, but sending letters to TV and Radio stations threating to sue them if they air the commercials is what has happened. Most stations went ahead and aired the ads.

    In contrast President Bush has been silent all through the hate filled ads that Soros and others have displayed, Has said nothing when Farenhight 9/11 came out. After more than 60 x the money the Swift Boat group has spent has been spent against President Bush, who's crying about "Incorrect" statements? Kerry, that's who. Who has been trying to stilfe the speach, Um Kerry again.

    If the book is slander, let Kerry take it a court of LAW, not send letters though lawer to try and bully someone into giveing up their free speech.

    If you can do without the actual pressing of plastic bits and springs. The keyboard is a small full color LCD screen that
    presents any set of keys needed at that moment. The keyboard
    becomes part of the User Interface. The same keyboard could display a Divorak, QWERTY, Chineese, Special purpose ( when displaying a menu, only the keys that respond to the menu show,the rest are hidden or dimmed)

    I thought I remember from a Bell Labs kit I had as a kit,
    (make your own light cell) that on earth aprox only 1 watt
    hits each square foot... that was some time ago.. 33 years I guess...

    Leave off the voter ID The ballot is suposed to be anonymous.

    The printserver is a single point of failure, use dedicated printers at each voting booth. (Once the ballot is printed the booth locks untill a poll worker unlocks it.. If the printer is out of paper or ink the poll worker can cause the ballot to re-print)

    Each ballot does get an ID number (date-machinenumber-ballotnumber).

    Everyone seems to be overthinking these voting machines.

    Poll workers verify the voter's ID as usual.

    The machine should poll the voter asking about each issue.
    The machine should re-display each of the voters choices and
    verify.

    The machine should printout a single human readable ballot that
    the voter can read and finally verify. The Ballot will also be machine readable for quick counting. The method of machine reading will be to OCR the human readable part.

    Ballots will be printed like this:

    Kerry [ ]
    Bush [ ]
    Nader [x]
    prop05 yes[ ]
    prop05 no [x]

    so the machine only has to detect an "x" or a space.

    The Ballots are handled as they have been.

    If your car won't respond to the sppedup-slowdown signals so it can arrive at it's correct reservation, you need a new car.

    The difference is, they can't follow each of us all day long with helocopters. With the network of rfid readers and license plate rfids the can track every **car** everywhere.

    They still have to prove who the driver was.

    Everytime you park your car, swap keys with another person.
