Yes, and definitely I would say it seems that coLinux was made with being a better alternative to cygwin/mingw in mind. I've been happily using AndLinux (Kubuntu + coLinux distro) running on my Windows XP for C++ development.
The Eclipse IDE Project uses a similar idea for its releases, where the main plugins (CDT, JDT, PDE, RCP, etc) are required to synchronize their releases with the release of the core Eclipse Platform.
The solution to this, of course would be to use software out there that is not GPL. Sure, they may have to pay for proprietary stuff, but there ain't no free lunch.
I've had the chance to watch a couple of MacGyver episodes recently and they feel dated. At the same time, the Bourne series comes to my mind as a modern version of MacGyver. So... Matt Damon as MacGyver?
My fondest memories of the F117 is playing the Microprose simulator. The original version was named F19 Stealth Fighter until the F117 was declassified in which the version 2.0 of the game, updated with VGA graphics and Persian Gulf campaigns was renamed F117A Stealth Fighter.
It was quite an interesting change, whereas in most other combat flight simulators like Falcon 3.0 and F15 Strike Eagle I would be actively seeking a fight with any enemy on my radar and pumping them full of sidewinders or 20MM, in F117A the mission is to avoid the enemy patrols and ground radars
This is an example of a Birthday Attack.
1. Attacker generates Good.exe and Evil.exe which hashes to the same MD5
2. Attacker passes Good.exe to the key owner to sign
3. Key owner signs and release Good.exe and Good.exe.MD5
4. Attacker releases Evil.exe as Good.exe
This of course, requires some serious social engineering to work.
MD5 is outdated, yes, but at the moment it is still resilient against a normal attack where an attacker has to generate an Evil.exe to hash to the same MD5 as an already-available Good.exe
I like the idea of some of the settlements by http://gpl-violations.org/ where the offending party makes a donation to the Open Source cause, e.g. the project violated, the FSF or EFF.
There's very little I hate more than fucking hit-and-run drunk drivers that I've seen ended many good people's life with their irresponsibility. They are no worse than murderers, IMO. Here in Singapore, we have quite a few hit-and-run incidents that were solved thanks to such cameras on our expressways. Loss of privacy? A very small price to pay for catching and deterring drunk drivers.
Socialism which centralizes all p;power in the government, causes this. When the same government that is responsible for policing, is repsonsible for economic activity such as providing electricity and even news to the public.. seriously fucked up shit like this can happen. It irreverasbly fucks a country hard.
Show me where socialism and government control over business activity has brought about prosperity and lifted a country out of poverty? I can show examples for capitalism: China, Singapore, South Korea (contrast with North Korea which was considered richer than S. Korea before the split -- and S. Korea was as poor as any African country).
In Singapore, it WAS pretty much government control over business activities that brought prosperity to the country. News, electricity, telephone system were all under government control. It was only recently, about 10 years ago, where all these were mostly privatized and released from government control, AFTER the country has been classified as a first world.
It's not capitalism at work here. It's simply a government that knows WTF it's doing and has very minimal trace of corruption.
I've seen people deliberately trying to spread the disease in the game. In order to obtain the disease, you need to meet the final boss of the Zul'gurub raid instance, named Hakkar. When Hakkar infects you with the disease, you will then have to hearth back to Orgrimmar or Ironforge to spread the disease before it kills you. Would people do this in real life?
Or can we expect to see suicidal terrorists deliberately infecting themselves and moving into a population...
"the w3school's site (from which the data on which this prediction was based) is a (poor imho) web developer's resource."
I've been using w3school for a while, I've found it pretty useful but could be better. I continue to use it since I haven't seen anything better. Do you know of a better site that does what w3school does?
i.e. what we need is an Acid Test for ODF.
With 6 colours and 9 squares per face, there will always be 2 squares of the same colour per face, so it can always be done in 42 moves or less.
What about the second hammer?

You left out the hard disk drive...
Bruce Schneider Facts
The last time someone tried to look into Bruce Schneider's twisted mind, the Big Bang happened
...is a worse crime than serial murdering half a town in another country.
Who cares about crimes that don't affect me? We should spend more taxpayers money on crimes that reduces the sales of my goods.
There are better ways to email someone's userid and password to yourself without giving away your own password.
Like SMTP.
Singapore is not a Muslim nation, although it is surrounded by Muslim nations... hmm... sounds familiar.
and most importantly, how much does it cost per GB, compared to Flash?
sudden outbreak of common sense?

Probably something that is currently BSD licensed.

No mention of Atari's ET?
