Seems like this is just a natural extension of the emulation layer to me to allow a larger number of windows games to run under cedega.

A lossless file system? Good lord... I most certainly hope all the exisiting file systems out there are not lossy. I have hundreds of gigabytes of data that I don't want to lose.

It's really no big deal. I'm using mp3fs right now. Sure, everything you read is slightly different than what you originally wrote, but you learn to deal with it. It does help to pick the right psychoacoustical model so it's harder to tell exactly what data is missing. As a side effect, I can listen to all my data on an mp3 player, so that's cool.

I had one, and it was basically an expensive way to get an A3000 running AmigaDOS in the end...SysV pretty much sucked, with grayscale X on the onboard hardware (why, oh why?) unless you bought a $1000 graphics card. Amiga wasn't terribly interested in supporting Unix on it, and basically it was dead by the time it was released, with basically no support nor fixes and patches. With a 40MB hard drive there wasn't really enough space for dualboot for both if you wanted to do much with it. Eventually I installed AmigaDOS on the entire drive and that was that.

Having said that, the A3000 was a nice box - enjoyed it for several years until joining the PeeCee crowd around '96 or so.

I've met other people at the stores also looking for WoW, usually staring at an empty slot on the shelf, "yeah, it's supposed to be right here".

You just have to wait long enough for the game box to respawn on the store shelves. Usually it only takes a few minutes. Did you also talk to the guy at the store with the big yellow "!" over his head first?
