I suggest you get a name instead of hiding behind AC.
I would agree that you are the stupider of the two or the stupidest of many, but not more stupider. The point isn't about "stupider", it's about it's pairing with the quantifier "more". If one thing is stupider than another, the greater than relationship is implied and already established. This makes the quantifier "more" redundant, unnecessary, and poor grammar. Think of it in terms of "smarter". I'm smarter than you is correct. You're stupider than me is correct. You're more stupider than me is poor grammar, as I originally asserted. You should think carefully about grammar before you go throwing dictionary references around.
You are absolutely right. However, they're getting more stupid, not stupider. It's not "exposing their truer nature", it's bringing out people's nature more truely.
I totally agree with your point, but many times a good point is disregarded due to poor phrasing and bad grammar.

You have got to be kidding me. Ted Kennedy has been involved in so much shady stuff during his life, someone should question his ability to operate without oversight. Just because a person is elected doesn't mean that they're above established protocols or reproach for past deeds. To name a few things, Chappaquiddick, a drunkard, plagiarist, cheater who was expelled from a college he didn't earn his way into, and girlfriend-beater.
A terrorist, maybe not, but you have to admit that if someone with a name other than Kennedy had the same credentials, that they'd get on the list, too. As they should.
Or not arrest if the resources aren't available. Also not arrest if damages don't exceed the threshold. Do observe, though. Always observe and take notes.
Agreed. That's why we have the term "minor". Most kids aren't capable of making good decisions all on thier own. That's why they need guidance from responsible adults. It's all part of the learning process, though. To quote the Beastie Boys, "As long as I learn, I will make mistakes." (spare me the comments about Mike D providing parenting advice) If parents can help kids learn how to make better decisions by making them take personal responsibility for their whereabouts, then it's a good thing.
I used to switch back and forth a lot until I started using the "View in IE" extension. Now I just leave the UA as Firefox. If I need to see a site that checks the UA as IE, I just right-click and Veiw in IE.
By the same logic, any con-man with a family should stay out of jail? Fines, spammers can pay and will accept as a cost of business. Jail time is a punishment. They'll get to see lots of enlarged penises that they helped to create.
I'll tell you what they say. It's, "That will be $100,000 USD for this month's hosting fees, Mr Richter. Thank you for your patronage, and it has been a pleasure doing business with you. Please come again."
They don't give a rat's ass what goes on, as long as they are earning hard currency for doing it. If CCCP hadn't fallen, you can guarantee they'd be doing the same thing.
Now I'll get more usage from Firebird's "block images from..." feature.

In my case, on the back of every card I carry is emblazoned, "ASK FOR ID !!!" in red sharpie-induced print. Someone asks me for ID maybe 20% of the time. The percentage jumps to around 50% for those who actually look at the back of the card.
It doesn't matter which technology is used (a magnetic strip or an RFID tag). Without authentication of a valid user, the situation won't improve.

You are correct in that it doesn't matter who you are or againts whom the crime was committed. A crime is a crime is a crime. If the US has jurisdiction and a legal reason to prosecute someone, they will. However, there is no US attorney in his/her right mind that will pursue a weak case "just because".
This is assuming that you're talking about crimes and not military action in Iraq. If you have a problem with the situation in Iraq, then say it. Don't make generalizations about how the US criminal justice system works as thinly-veiled disguise for bitching about a US military action.
I've had 3 different phones from Nextel, and they all do it. The first was an i85s, and it would do it all the time. The blackberry models aren't as bad, but it still happens. I thought my home theater was messed up for a while until I noticed the phone was communicating with the network when the thumping was happening....

Totally. I think I've actually grown flippers. Maybe I'll install a rack of horns in my office. The best part is that my manager thinks she knows "HMTL" (honest to Christ she said this) and wants to be involved. Even better is when she tries to go back and modify something I've done and royally screws it up. In addition, she's got no clue about the timeline of projects and what they should be. Given that, she has no problem holding things up for miserable amounts of time and then bitching when they go past deadline. Love the job, but hate her sorry ass. Not that I need to be thanked, but it would be nice to receive some sort of recognition for succeeding despite her.
The same quarterly report you cite also lists: We ended the first quarter of 2004 with a debt of $2.3 billion... Tell me again how that means they made 1.8 Billion in profit?

The only thing you didn't mention is that the USPS is Constitutionally mandated to provide postal service. You also don't mention that it absolutely hemorrhages money. It's been forever since it actually broke even. So, in sum, be careful before you trot the USPS out as a model of how a government operation should work.
"A structural transformation of the Service is called for because the Service faces major financial, operational, and human capital challenges. It is at growing risk of not being able to continue providing universal postal service vital to the national economy at reasonable rates while remaining self-supporting through postal revenues."
No. I grew up in Houston, and have been to the J&R by city hall. Not even close to Fry's. J&R used to be heavily catalog-based, but had really good stuff at good prices. They were a good source for audiophile gear, etc. that wasn't available locally or from other outfits like Crutchfield.
