    It's dangerous to look at the sun directly when it's almost eclipsed, because the overall brightness is low enough to not trigger a blink reflex.

    An A4 sheet (you could make a load of sunglasses from this) comes at 25EUR, which is very cheap compared to other options for observing the sun

    A few years ago, when we had a local partial eclipse, many of the shops around town were giving away free eclipse glasses. That's a lot cheaper than 25EUR.

    There already exists software that allows your computer under your desk to automatically hack into other computers. It's not hard to imagine that an AI could do a better job. Using darknet sites, it could even hire a hitman to have you killed.

    I'm not saying Zuckerberg is one of the world's experts but he most likely has a very firm grasp on the subject.

    Maybe he does understand the dangers, but doesn't want that to get in his way of making profits.

    The birds have no natural instinct to detect and avoid invisible dangers normally not present in nature.

    After a few generations, the birds will learn to detect them.

    Yes, but as a software developer I still think 10 - 20 times faster than my hands can crank out code even with the fastest IDE.

    Hmm... with me it's the other way around. I spend most of the time thinking about the problem and solution, and only a small bit on the actual code entry.

    Other areas will light up as well, but whether these areas mean diapers, work, cheese, rutabagas, or who knows what is still anybody's guess.

    And even if we could improve the MRI to show finer details, it still would have to be calibrated on a single subject before we could tell what it was.

    Only a small percentage are legitimate refugees. Most of them are single men from Africa from areas where there is no war. They also travel through a dozen of other safe countries, without stopping to ask for help, until they reach Germany.

    So, should we just throw up our hands and say fuggedaboutit, or maybe, just maybe, we could work a little harder on problems like these, where the problem is essentially to tell a bunch of assholes (and the smaller group of management assholes who are enabling this) to stop being assholes?

    It won't stop until women stop rewarding assholes.

    I didn't read his posts, but if they are indeed unlawful, CNN should just warn the authorities about this guy, and leave it at that. There's no need for public exposure, especially not in this heated atmosphere where some idiot with a gun may decide to fix the problem for themselves.
