Ahh that would have been on overtime of course;-)
The point (or should I say barb?) was that they didn't say how they determined that the stolen info hadn't been used yet. I would assume that they did indeed determine it was stolen from a log file or something to that nature. Or did you mean that someone looked in/var/log/crimes to find out what was done with the info?

Oh right how did they determine this?
SVHTTF: your systems have been infiltrated for several months.
Public servant: we haven't noticed anything.
SVHTTF: has anyone reported any cases of identity theft?
I still wont pay for sh*ty music. There's more to it than just offering it online in mp3 format folks. Heck most of what the recording industry puts out these days isn't even worth stealing.
they've also portrayed open sourcers as junkies and religious fanatics. I'm sure my mom and dad are at home right now saying oh well, those dirty open source junkies are only getting what they deserve serves them right!
While I can't help but snicker at the recording industry when I read this article, I wonder how many albums these guys would have sold if they had never been picked up by a major label in the first place?
But working as a consultant you learn to get used to working in all kinds of situations. You are fortunate indeed to be able to mediate work environements for your consultants.
Heck in one place I spent a week working in a hallway and if it wasn't for my trusty laptop I would have been twiddling my thumbs. Other than that I do my most productive work off site at home where there are less meetings and other such interuptions.
Maybe we need to take a cue from the open source community. Why not create an alternative, free licence? One you could pass on to your friends and they would have the right to use it and copy it and pass it on (-;
I don't use Kazaa but it would seem to me that if they are in the business of supplying secure digital content then their clients must be the same bunch as the RIAA and whatnot.
Now if I were copying mp3s illegally I sure wouldn't want them intercepting my search requests, collecting my IP addy and possibly responding.
That would be like the IRS bundling software with Quicken so they could monitor your financial transactions no?
A young male human was situated near the ntersection of two supporting structural elements at right angles to each other: said subject was involved in ingesting a saccharine composition prepared in conjunction with the ritual observance of an annual fixed-day religious festival.
Insertion into the saccharine composition of the opposable digit of his forelimb was followed by removal of a drupe of genus prune. Subsequently the subject made a declarative statement regarding the high quality of his character as a young male human.

I guess they could have used this on their download page :-)
Heh Isn't Edison's light bulb still burning somewhere? Do you think there will still be a copy of MSDOS 1.0 running somewhere in 50 years time?

Dude at the price they're charging you may as well just get yourself one of those Realdolls for even better 3d effects :-)
Over a network I wouldnt even what to do that with SCSI devices.
It only comes in three colors.
I bet half of you are just sitting there hoping your Athalon catchs fire, its a geek status symbol. ;-)
They get there application running on other platforms in direct competition with SO OO and all the other OS suites without lifting a finger.
Tell me again why I would support MS by running Office on my linux box?

Market droid: Our research indicates that our users aren't being humiliated nearly enough.
Pointy haired boss: Why don't we make them play pin the tail on the donkey before they can use the system?
Engineer: I suppose I could work it into the login sequence.
for pr0n site access ;-)
I'm curious about what they used to generate the data. You need some serious fire power to keep a pipe that wide full all the time.
Have they steralized him?
You fool I said rum and coke on the rocks not run the boat on the rocks!?
I could blow this up and then walk on it. Maybe I'd get more exercise this way.
So I link to the site to check out the specs on this baby and almost go blind trying to read that itty bitty font. Eyetech? I don't think so.

Cool device but it'll never catch on. All that rubber and plastic on the palm would seriously hamper web wankers evrywhere. Or maybe not ;-)
