    Yeah, well I speak french too. I'm not french though, are you? If you ask me, a language that doesn't adapt and evolve over time is a dead language.

    Now if you really spoke french, you'd know that courriel isn't a "quick-translate" of any english words. The french word for mail is courrier. The term courriel is merely the contraction of courrier electronique, which is french for electronic mail.

    If you ask me, he's doing what he's paid for. Why risk exposing yourselves to costly legal fees and penalties? Yeah it might suck, but that doesn't mean it's a bad decision.

    Oh and ixnay on shutting down the company, as one poster suggested, work from within, inform people, educate them, trust me, you'll get farther that way.

    You could always take incremental or differential backups. 87G is still nothing to sneeze at we're finally starting to see optical media with the capacity of tape drives. Or if it's really a problem just install 2 of these babies it'll prolly still cheaper than a tape library solution.

    Don't argue semantics with me.

    Are you preaching it's ok to download mp3s or software you don't own cause that's copyright infringement but taking candy from the store is wrong because thats stealing?

    If they were really concerned with being ethical, they would use free software and the likes. But something tells me they wouldn't respect those licenses any more than so called comercial software.

    These are good points, but in how many instances has the governement (as is the case here) risen up and done something like this for the people?

    No,this is a government who condons stealing of copyrighted works simply because they have no intention of ever buying licenced copies.

    Have they abolished copyright laws in Malaysia? No.

    I see little difference moral, or otherwise between this and the government saying well it's ok for us to rob banks because we're strapped for cash.

    Mail isn't delivered to my door so when I go to my mail box (once evry week or so),there's an awful lot of junk I have to weed through to get my mail.

    What with fliers and catalogs it's really not that hard to loose that check you've been waiting for. How's that for bandwidth problems?

    Isn't this how it already is?

    As it stands now, you still have to get whoever manages the TLD to agree to delegate authority to you, for your sub-domain.

    Canada recently adopted new rules as to how the .ca domain can be used, why should it be any different for South Africa?
