It really needs to stop all around with the over-editorializing and partisanship. Newspapers should stop endorsing candidates, and stick to non-partisan objective reporting. But it'll never happen, because sensationalism sells.

That's not "tailoring" a message, that's lying, and it's especially not the same circumstance as some average Joe who yaks to his bar buddies, and someone who's currently running for high office; or would you like to use that defense for Trump too? He wasn't running for office 11 years ago, and maybe he was just talking smack, bragging to "bar buddies", "tailoring his message" to look more suave to them. Don't buy that? Good. Neither do I, but neither do I buy Hillary's innocence either.

It only appears one-sided because the media appears quite willing to publish any dirt they can find Trump. We don't need to go to Wikileaks for that.

We also don't need any single media source to be impartial. We need multiple partial media sources to keep each other on their toes.

This is how I've always viewed Fox New's claim of "Fair and Balanced"; not internally, everyone knows they're right wing, but in the context of MSNBC, NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, NYT, Huffpost, NPR, Salon, Vox, Mic, Mother Jones, etc.. it provides a little balance in the media overall.

Early muslims preserved much of the classical era knowledge, and built on it. As to who torched the Library of Alexandria, that's still a contentious issue up for debate; no one is sure. In fact, one could argue that without the rediscovery of that knowledge brought back to Europe by returning crusaders, which sparked the Renaissance, who knows.. we might've have remained in the dark ages to this day, or at best we'd be a couple of centuries behind where we are now. And that was with the early Islamic culture preserving much of that knowledge (sans Roman concrete, anyway); imagine if they'd felt it wasn't worth keeping, we could be a millennium behind.

So the mere acknowledgment that humans are of different races ,cultures, and languages is racist now? In what way did her assumption that an asian person might actually speak an asian language imply the superiority or inferiority of said asians? Or white/black people? Because that's what racism is, believing that a race is superior or inferior in some manner to other races. Racism in practice is treating a person worse or better than another, solely on the basis of their race.
Sounds to me like she was thoughtfully trying to accommodate the asian person.
