  1. Which is why GOP politicians go on massive hunts looking for voter fraud after every election, and never comes up with anything but a small handful of people who were just confused.

That's your criteria? Any given day I could find examples here of Clinton or Bernie supporters who say the same thing, in the same way, or even nastier (especially on threads discussing climate change). Trump supporters hardly own the trademark on insults and ad-hominems. Insults and epithets been flying around here since forever.

That remains to be seen. Trump, aside from being economy-oriented, is also very security conscious (possibly because he understands that the sense of security affects markets); I see no real indication that he'd reign in the NSA in that.

    Doubtful it will happen anyway.

The fact that nobody in his campaign even knew that you have to replace the White House staff when you take office blows my mind. Were they paying that little attention when Obama, or any other president for that matter, took office?

Again: I hope for the best but fear the worst.

That is not a fact, per se, it was a claim by an Obama staffer or two. Kellyanne Conway laughed that off as absurd. A guy doesn't get to become a billionaire by not doing a little research into the most basic things like that, seriously. Some elements are bound to be a little overwhelming though, even for a seasoned politician.

I'd read that historically, absentee ballots tend to run something like 67% republican, 33% democrat. Or was it 63% - 37%? Anyway, they're roughly 2/3 republican since so many are military, plus overseas businessmen on trips. A sizeable chunk also comprises exchange students, likely to be mostly democrat votes. Considering that absentee ballots are not normally counted unless they number greater than the margin of difference between candidates in a state, that could still represent a very large number of votes, an assumed 2/3 of which would be pro Trump.
I find it unlikely that Hillary's popular vote count will rise nearly as much as Trump's if all the absentee ballots are counted.

And anymore, I read little or nothing from Verge, HuffPost, Vox, Mic, Salon, or Mother Earth Jones exactly because of the passive-aggressive to full-out bias. By the same token, I don't trust sites like Youngcons with facts much either, but at least they identify as the party they support, so you can sort of expect it.

Bear in mind that US politics has 4 axes, not just two. There are not only Right and Left, but also Authoritarian and Libertarian (or sometimes labeled as Anarchist for extreme scale, I guess). Liberals can be just as authoritarian as conservatives, as the last several years bears out.

  17. Definitely not outside the realm of possibility. We know her camp is pretty good at scheming. Assange is still claiming to have a bombshell to drop tomorrow, but he's likely part of it too, if there is such a master plan, his stuff has all been relatively minor as well. Maybe they used him to try to tie Trump to Russia. In any case, that particular conspiracy theory has been pretty much shot down.

I recently saw a doctored video clip on FB (well, obviously doctored to anyone with a minimal amount of critical thinking) that purported to show Obama at public forum admitting he was born in Kenya; but you could tell that certain key words were pasted in from other speeches, and when those strings of words were said, the camera view suddenly cut to a long shot so you couldn't see his mouth; and yet there were people swearing in the comments that it was proof, "there he is saying it". I don't even like Obama but bullshit is bullshit.
