i doubt any websites will only support Safari 1.2... or any Safari for that matter. Safari is supposed to be based on web standards anyway so its irrelevant.
i don't like being tied into an upgrade cycle by apple so i changed to Firebird, its a better browser anyway IMO
ah yes duh, that was the one i was thinking of. i had a lot of difficulty with that also, the problem with that manover compared to the other 3 you have to do is that there are not many visual markers you can use to know when to turn and by how much.
yeah i know, i had it in both tests i took (passed this bit both times though i failed the first test on something else:p).
its only been in the test for a few years though i think so there hasn't been a noticable effect yet. judging from where i work (chocca with student cars) people's ability to parallel park varies greatly.:D
why is it "cheating"? the OS runs doesn't it? it just happens to run on top of some software that emulates a different hardware... that sort of thing has been going on since the mainframe days.
why is this insightful? the economy is doing fine with very low unemployment, probably true that no one has any money though, everyone seems to be living on credit!
local culture tends not to dissappear, it simply adapts and evolves. as it always has. influences and different cultures have swept through europe ever since man has been there.
local cultures haven't been swept aside, of course it can happen when the new culture comes with psycotic pikemen at it's vanguard who want to kill everyone but i don't think thats the case with McD.
yes, i remember travelling on the Maglev quite a few times when i was going through my teenage planespotting phase. its a shame it was replaced by something which is centuries old technology wise.
You write your last mail and decide to insult everyone, what the hell coz you'll be dead anyway right? what if the mail is sent by accident before you die?;)
not sure, i've heard of problems with CD-Rs but none with "proper" CDs, mind you the oldest i have got are about 18 years old* so maybe they are on the verge of doom...
* for some reason writing that has made me feel really old!
i've got a couple of 'em lately, they apparently won't work on Macs (according to the blurb on the back) but funnily enough do work without any problems whatsoever. odd!
fill it before you start drinking of course
how did the british and spanish prime ministers converse when they had a summit last year? why they spoke in french. :p
maybe Firefox 0.9 can include a thesaurus, i know i could do with one
hey you never know ;)

try a recent 0.8 build perhaps? i've used them on my work W2K box for ages and its not crashed yet... of course i'm probably tempting fate now ;)
it does on my OSX box, maybe its just a setup issue?
i thought it was a joke like landover baptist but then i saw they wanted that website shut down so maybe it is "real", damned funny anyway!
or you could ask, if you need text to explain what an icon means why not dispense with the icon and just keep the text label?
seems ok so far to me, i even installed the last 3 updates in a row and nothing broke that i've noticed
no the hardware emulated an older hardware to maintain compatibility with older versions of software
