umm everyone i know who uses a PC either for work or personal stuff uses IE (probably around 30 people all in all), most of them don't even know there are alternatives!
the website i am responsible for is fairly busy (half a million homepage hits a month) and over 70% uses IE to visit it last month. i don't know how many of these were other browsers pretending to be IE admittedly.
so i have to keep the site looking good for that piece of crap browser! luckily being an academic site it has to meet accessibility guidelines so if the design doesn't look perfect on IE but passes the accessibility test then the managers can't moan (too much);)
well in the past an update for 10.1 has come out a few days after one for 10.2 (though not always) so lets just wait and see before passing judgement huh?

not so true, M$ are due to stop supporting it soon, thats why my place has begun migrating all of it's NT4 workstations to W2K. the only reason though!
cellphones w/ cameras arn't expensive these days, my wife got a T68i and camera for about 30 quid. mind u the camera quality is that poor in anything other than direct sunlight it wouldn't be much good for photographing magazines!
IE4 and NS4 both support PNGs, i've used PNGs instead of GIFs for about 3 years now. never had any problems with any browser i've used on any platform (ok well i haven't tried Mosaic or Cello for a while...;)
i used to use ICQ but its very crash happy on a Mac but the OSX bundled IM program is AIM compatible isn't it? does that mean i can now use iChat to contact people on ICQ networks?
naa actually big cities weigh less than the land they replace, for example Manhattan weighed more when the only buildings on it were original american villages than it does now. all that concrete and steel does weigh a lot but not as much as the earth and rock it replaced weighed.
so what? if something needs fixing you get someone to do it, they could measure their shelves et cetera in metres, feet, arms, ants arses or whatever for all i care. as long as it fits!
my favourite is Gravite which unleashes the forces of gravity on your desktop. for example when you drag an icon and "let go" with the mouse then the icon will fall "down" the screen. class.
the one that turns the display into ASCII is good as well. however hard drug use probably has the same effect.
