You cannot repeat the word "pirate" or phrase "fAST FORWARD over commercials" without the express written consent of the MPAA!

  3. This sucks on If Programming Languages Could Speak · · Score: 1, Insightful

This was the biggest waste of time EVER! I totally waited through a slashdot effect just to read this stupid thing. This is more like "what if people who supported these languages complained?" Whoop de do.

That's why we say "GNU/DCMA". To confuse everyone!

In my AP English class, it sure seemed like we took a different AP English test every week to prepare. That class was pretty annoying, but I got a 5. That teacher knew how to get people to get 5's on those tests.

  13. Look on Stopping Palladium? · · Score: 3, Insightful

It only matters if people support it. For instance, I download most of my music from video game fan sites. Are those composers going to suddenly start producing music using palladium technologies? It's a possibility. But if they don't, then I still get to play the music. So don't support anyone who uses Palladium as a means to protect their copyright.

  14. At least on Ethical Lines of the Gray Hat · · Score: 1

  16. Big Brother must do MORE on Federal Cyberspace Policy Draft Released · · Score: 1

    CNN ECKS SPURTS

I can't believe these CNN experts think the GOVERNMENT needs to do MORE for internet security. Frankly, I'm glad that they are just raising awareness. I don't want the government coming and mucking around with my computer to make it "secure for viewing gov't approved material only". But who understands computer-related anything more than our slow Big Brother? That's, right. Just about anyone.

Wait a minute! We here at Ask Slashdot? TM only answer quality questions like, "How do I write my ECE Doctoral Thesis?" or "I'm a novice movie director. How can I get Linux into my movie?" This question doesn't really involve computers or linux. One might say that "chatroom" is something of a John Katzesque computer social revolution topic, but I stole his karma. Then don't buy from the artists who use this technology. Who needs the recent garbage that's been produced anyway? Maybe it'll turn out for the better. Oh no, palladium won't let me watch the movie, "Doomsday 2003" Crop Circles foretell of an alien civilization of Bugs sending an Intergalactic Meteor to smash into the Super Volcanoes on earth and Melt the Frozen Methane, returning the world to a state where Dragons reign the Air, Eight-Legged Freaks rule the underground, and Fish Rise up. Darn I can't hear the soundtrack either.

Okay, that's a pretty good movie, but we'll all have to make some sacrifices for freedom. It's not like we have to fight a civil war, we just have to STOP SPENDING MONEY!
