Flash (or is it Shocwave, whatever, they're from the same company) is bad because you cannot adjust the sound other than changing your master volume. Lame. Why choose Flash?? Check out all those Flash pranks--they're there because you cannot adjust the sound.
No standard way to extract/load data. No standard way to get all tables in a database. Basically DDL is entirely separate and each type of database has its own way of doing things. Let's not talk about embedded SQL and optimizing queries (like Oracle hints.. *ugh*).
The problem w/ downloading DVDs or rips is that you're at the mercy of those who ripped or reencoded the content. Most people just keep the show and leave everything else out. Which would mean you need to spend time to look for the right version.
Much more convenient in this case to buy the DVDs yourself if you (like me) enjoy the extras besides the main feature.
Their service is not very good if you're technical enough to figure out clearing your IE cache, power-cycling your DSL modem/router/computer will not fix your problem. Once you convince tier-1 to transfer you to tier-2/-3, they're not too bad. We have SBC DSL and Comcast cable here, and I much prefer SBC. One of the things I don't have to worry about is how much I've transferred in and out of my system each month--a thing some other cable subscribers have had an issue with. I'm not saying all cable broadband has transfer caps, it's just something that has been an issue in the past and it's something I don't want to deal with at all.
This mobo has better PCIe support than any other mobo I've heard about, by _far_.
I think Apple can do better by creating a space for the graphics card's fan. I still don't understand why mobo manufacturers continue to include a slot where in most cases people have video card fans that render that slot useless.
Each window be optionally created as a new instance (w/out hacks like creating another version of the app), so I can logon to a website as 2 or more different users.
What you say is true only if a group invents something that is unique without any external help or influence. The article says that most--indeed, if not all--progress is done on top of others. Truth is probably in the middle, but the article's examples of those who have patented were in a way "free riding" off the works of others as well as leveraging the funds of the government.
You can set it to 25, 50, or 100 conversations per page. If you get tired of them, archive 'em. You'd get more emails because Yahoo uses traditional one line per mail/response.
Well, normally, I'd just use a search function. I hardly sort spreadsheets. Although sometimes we get massive ones and I use Excel's auto filter function. But still, searching is faster than even auto filter.
I don't have a spreadsheet installed on my home computer, just a spreadsheet reader. At work it's different.
I just noticed that marketing fooled you. Your camcorder actually has a USB 1.1 connector labeled as USB 2.0 Full-Speed. Currently, I've read that only JVC camcorders have USB 2.0 High-Speed ports which enable transfer of DV-quality signals to a PC w/ USB 2.0 High-Speed ports. With all that confusion, it's probably better to get firewire and not worry about it, or wait 5 more years until everything migrates to USB 2.0 High-Speed.
Did you verify what resolution your video is? A good friend of mine has a Sony DCR-TRV70 and USB streaming will only give him 320x200 (VCD-quality). Oh, it's perfectly synced all right, but not the kind of quality you want to keep for good when the camera can do so much better. A firewire cable solved that problem.
Way off topic. What if in the far future, when nanotechnology is commonplace, everyone born in "civilized" nations gets some device embedded in them that will automatically kill disease? It also has the side effect of prolonging life. This device has flashable firmware that can be constantly updated (and hackable).
I wonder if people would go for this? Mark of the Beast indeed.
I sometimes tend to do stuff with HDs running out of the rails for new installations, recoveries, whatever. Once I placed an old SCSI drive on top of another file without any "insulating layer" in between and I heard a pop soon after and my top drive stopped working. There was also a faint burnt smell as I recall. Seems some electrical short caused that mishap. I tried to switch the electronics board with another identical model but no go. I still sometimes leave drives running outside their rails but am now a bit more careful.

Just google for ffdshow and that will solve 99% of your problem with codecs.
Who cares if they're just transcoding?
Like these commercials?? http://www.centraalbeheer.nl/cbi/cb/corporate/fun/ commercial.jsp?commercial=balletje&bw=dsl&stopAtEn d=false&linkAtEnd=&linkTarget=

'cuz most of the ones with talent would put pretty women in the videos and not themselves... only if they realize they're ugly.
Oops, not anti-virus software, but Zone Alarm Pro...
In this case, anti-virus software found it. This was posted on August, a bit before Mark posted his article. http://castlecops.com/postp611852.html

Why would it be difficult to tell? Both controllers' button layouts are symmetrical lengthwise.

Can you clarify?

Why use a spreadsheet? Isn't text good enough anymore?

Why would people be going to California finding work? Companies are trying to move out of California.

The same guy who says "forward stroke".
My favorite come from a UNIX guru I know from what now seems like a land far away. From his own words: http://groups.google.com/group/comp.sys.next.sysad min/browse_frm/thread/88484ceff067fef0/1a62d7a5e5d 5f126#1a62d7a5e5d5f126
I'd rather have my apps work because of a "hack" over my apps not working. .NET does something similar to this "hack."
It was spelled correctly.
