    After another minute I was so bored that I picked it up to see what it had done... the wipe was completely clean but it was starting to push dirt in front of it. The ground clearance is so low that the dirt can't go under it to reach the wipe!

    Only a geek would have such a filthy apartment that they would resort to technology to clean it. A mop and bucket is just so yesterday...

    of dealing with spammers and other nefarious miscreants has its merits.

    I am not talking tar and feathers or lynch mob scenarios (the merits of which cannot be denied though). I am in favour of the high-tech "put the spammers address and personal info on Slashdot" old fashioned way. It seems to work best as the targetted spammer was really steamed...

    IANAL but when the IBM vs. SCO lawsuit gets underway does not SCO have to give full disclosure to all offending code when the trial starts? If so, how long do you think it would take to replace any offending code? I'll bet it could be replaced before the trial finishes.

    Enduser: yeah you idiot six times already!

    Tech support: When the user is not looking, pops the non-bootable diskette out of their drive and reboots.

    Enduser: Hey what the heck did you do to get it working?

    I am a true geek - heck my CD burner is a straw hut! and man does it burn CD's - using XCDRoast naturally!

    I don't know about that but I manage print jobs all the time and I work for shit...

    And since it is Win95, it will balloon to 95GB after using it for a day (actually, that will be a new record - getting Win95 to run for day is feat infinitely superior to getting it to run in under 5 MB of RAM.

    Almost of the hardware is emulated in software. I think the modem actually uses the sound card to create a carrier signal...
