Exactly... people who think that Roosevelt and Trumann are guilty of crimes, and that the Enola Gay shouldn't be displayed without showing the horrible effects it had on the people it bombed seem well intentioned at first glance, however, don't ask them about ALSO showing the Bataan death march, the rape of Nanking, video and other proof of Iraqis being slaughtered by Saddam, etc. They don't want to do that. As far as they are concerned, if it makes the U.S. look bad, it's good. If it makes U.S. look good or anyone else look bad, it's bad. End of story.

I used to think my fellow geeks were geeks because they had brains. I was vey saddened to find out that so very many were ignorant enough to think that, for example, anything to do with Bush was automatically a bad thing, and were so often ready to jump on ANY anti-U.S. setiment that comes along. So many have ben brainwashed by the media, or have decided to just ignore facts, or just don't Get It (tm), that I just ignore them now. The trivial stuff is mostly harmless. Sometimes what appears trivial on the surface is actually a major cause of resentment. The word 'redskin' was used in pretty much the same way that 'nigger' was. If you know that you can see how a football team called the Washington Redskins might be unpopular with native americans the way a team called the Atlanta Niggers would be unpopular with african americans.
