Why are they using such a poor quality chip such as crusoe, when there are p3's that use the same amount of power and do the job much faster? Isn't a 500mhz crusoe about as fast as a 200mhz pentium? Isn't Transmeta going under, eagerly awaiting to be bought out by a more successful company?

I'm not an audiophile but I agree that mp3 does not sound very good, and at 128kbit, it sounds quite horrible. Of course, I have a nice pair of high quality headphones.. On 10$ computer speakers you can't tell the difference very easily.

Maybe if you are talking about windows 3.11, which nobody uses anymore. When windows 95 came out microsoft invented the 'start menu' which has been blatently copied in many gui's such as KDE. It wasn't untill MAC OS X that apple had a gui that even compared to windows', and microsoft surpassed then yet again with windows XP, the most user-friendly os ever.
