and SUV's weren't designed for road use, they were designed for off-road travel.. then again.. I doubt too many people drive their mercedes or lexus SUV's in the bush

well those people who buy a system because it has an AMAZING blue-man pentium 4 at 2 ghz (but with a m64 nvidia card) ussually buy their systems at computer superstores.. and it is not likely we will see intel's oversized 64-bit solution in places like that anytime soon.

don't forget uptime and stability, and the extensive testing they do before rolling out new chips
perhaps people are trying to install windows95/98 software and are unaware that windowsXP uses the NT architecture.. There are differences, some software might not work. The same applies to any 2 different os's.
I find it curious that people complain that microsoft bundles products when most major linux distros do the same. I'm sure getting free office software or free network software makes people not want to buy the commercial alternatives. In this regard perhaps we should boycott all linux distros as they hurt commercial software makers (am I starting to sound like microsoft?):)
I have been an artist on mp3.com for about 3 years, and at first I thought it was a great place for an independant artist such as myself to promote my music, however as soon as commercial bands began having sites there I believe that mp3.com turned too much into something mtv-esque. For instance there are schlock bands such as the pre-made-on-tv O-town hosted there now. After that I decided I would add all new material to besonic.com, a great site which is populated mostly by independant artists.
As for the payback for playback, I didn't really make enough money to warrent the 20$ a month it cost to stay in the program. I also believe that that program caused some artists to become greedy. Now they want visitors to pay aswell? I don't see it as being worth it. For all I know, I would say MP3.COM IS DYING. Perhaps they have suffered one suit too many.
seeing as how the Itanium utterly blows at running 32-bit code it would not be feasable to have very much of that code in windows if you expect to run the system at a usable speed
this is actually on topic, believe it or not
why was this modded down? Obviously there are some anti-semitic moderators at slashdot :D
since when were there no white muslims?
Muslims come in all colors, black, white, brown, and of course the large asian muslim population

a funny comment, considering canadians score better overall than americans in high school tests.
I assume you are intending on making a metal robot for you hamster to fight in 'death matches'
yes just like IE is not a web-browser.. it is an integral part of the windows-OS

soon they will upload goatse.cx images right into yout brain!
If intel wants to lure people to their p4-architecture, perhaps they should release a FREE compiler that supports sse-2.
ussually?

paint the whole monitor black, that is the most x-windows I ever saw run in linux with my video card
