    Yea, those reliable old lever systems, they always punch out chads perfectly.

    OK, that was a bit cynical...i'm sorry...I know that the hanging chads were not the issue, but the people interperting them. But in all honesty the level systems are no better than the computerized ballot systems, except that it's harder to hide cheating from the layperson.

    If you are feeding them properly at home then the fact that they have a less than healthy meal at school should not matter. There should not be anything so unhealthy on the school menu that eating it will devistate a diet. If you kids diet is that important than you should get off of your lazy ass and take the time to make them a lunch that taste good and fits their diet, and try not to make it too obvious that they are one one. Fat kids really don't need yet another reason to be picked on in high school...

There must be some seriously incriminating information in there if he won't let investigators from his own branch of government in to look around. And how is this a security risk? The only risk is if the investigator leaks information. Oh right...the executive branch has a track record of doing stuff like that...now i understand...

    I'm sure "Who will watch the watchmen?" was a clever question during the time of the Roman Empire, but the answer is simple. A circle of watching needs to be established. Something like the concepts behind the US government that are currently falling apart....Judicial, Executive and Legislative are all suppose to keep each other in check. Currently the Executive is doing as it damn well pleases....

    Government watches the people, the people watch the watchmen, and the watchmen watch the government.

    Of course not! The 2.[Odd] version of the linux kernel would not be this unstable. The kernel devs are way too proud to let horrible code get released even when its a "unstable" version. Not to say they are perfect and never write bad code, just that they don't release half cobbled together code like MS does.

    Yes but the stores remove the tags from the items when I purchace them and don't try to sneak into my house later on and put the tags back on them so that I have to make a trip back to the store with a reciept to prove I bought them so they can remove the tag again...ad nauseum...

    That made no sense at all! In general if you double the pool of users that can be infected, then you also double the number of users that will be infected.

    I use gaim just because I like to be able to talk to people on any network if I feel like it, but in reality everyone I know uses AIM. I have hundreds of people in my AIM buddy list, and about 10 in all others combined. MSN and Yahoo both suck!
