When windows 95/98 had numerous memory leaks which
were not fixed for long time, I seriously gave a thought that Bill had secret contract with all of the memory manufacturals so he could increase the sales on the memory modules!

Now, more buggier or intentionally introduced bugs / and holes on the operating system can increase sales of the antivirus software!

If Billy knew that he had created monster which cannot be replaced but seen that he end is near...then why not stab the own creation and profit from it's blood!?? It was going to die anyway..(I am refering to the reason why microsoft wanted to get into the multimedia/entertainment business(console) and network gear business(they had it going for some time but abruptly cancelled everything when cisco found linksys very cute)...

I really think that beginning of the shit anmations by Dinsney started with Little Mermade.

I reall think really old disney animations were truely great. Black & White Mickey Mouse were the greatest amonst others..like Snow White, 101 Dalmation, etc. I really pity today's art industry where really talented people go by unheard... and I see many mediocre talented sweet talking corporate type guys in the helm of studios(I mean art director & etc etc). I also know many new generations of student who graduated from art college with no drawing skills....they may be able to manipulate 3d tools, but I really think that pen & pencil is the bread and milk of art creation. I have seen way too many computer graphics artists who can't draw shit using pen & sketchbook! I wonder how they managed to wing art classes where drawing / painting were necessary!

PS: Oh... I also hate those stupid loud mouth clumsy side kicks Dinsney keeps putting into their inferior animations. Not to mention all those songs by some celebraty musicians. In old times, music & singing used to be put into just right moment(can you spell magic?) with good story line. I have a feeling that today's Disney animations are done in backward.

    1) First They sign a contract with celebrated singer.
    2) Make up stories so they can put music/singing stuffed into animation.
    3) It takes x3 tiems longer to draw characters on computer due to artist's lack of drawing talents(Um...he cannot draw without computer's aid).
    4) copy & paste one and only drawing around. No wonder characters are less detailed than what it used to be in old days. Um..sometimes, characters look like icons on the desktop(no detail at all).

    5) more copy & paste.

    6) make multiple plots.

  3. The real reason is... on RFID Will Stop Terrorists? · · Score: 1

I believe that RFID has positive side but also has very negative side to its technology.

I works like a double edged sword. It's use and reult will vary depending on who's using the technology and for what purpoes it's being used.

It's great that if thechnlogy were used to help inventorize and automate warehouse. But at the same time it could be used to track people's where about and habits, etc.

If I recall correctly, US government had forbid satellite phone companies in US to add encryption on the device. I was having a talk with my friend how moment's notice, all terrorists were going to run out and swap their encrypted satellite phones with unencrypted one.

The thing is that RFID isn't a rocket scientists. Soon, criminals and terrorists will use it against us(Noraml People). Like...um...muggers will use it to find out who's got most cash in their handbag(if cash was tagged with RFID), or go after a person wearing 12K gucci wrist watch rather than kid wearing $10 CONY wrist watch(Um...I've actually seen brand name PANASONY...true master piece).

Same thing goes for gun. When was last time going out clubbing with your Saturday night special 8mm handgun in your pocket? Even muggers and thieves bring gun with them all the times, but they do bring gun with them 100% of time when they are on the job!

Um...enough said. I have vast collection of personal private datas on my computer. Like my credit card, bank statement, mp3, cartoons sitting on my hard drive. I have hard time organizing my already digitized belongings! Do you think RFID will actually make you more organized?

I think some things are better left alone. Like...I still read paper book vs. pdf books. They are not the same. Let alone, I am not going to have organized closet because my clothes were rigged with RFID tags! You'd still have to pick them up and hang them in orderly fashion. If I am going to do them, then I might as well have them remembered. And if you have more shoes & blouses that you need RFID to help you remember what you have, then you have some problem.

If I were assasin then I'd probably program my pda with RFID reader so I can follow my target and avoid cops.

    Enough said!

I don't think we are ready for RFID yet, until we find a better solutions, such as MELTING RFID tag.
Where we need to develop bioRFID tag where enzime in laundry soap will destroy RFID tag. Or, having come with fresh air will self destruct...or self destruct upon scanned by a cash register!

Because RFID is only useful in storage facility to help them identify and measure how much they have in shelf. It makes perfect sense to be destroyed upon walking out the store.

Ugh...it's 4:55 and I want to go home. Datacenter is so so so cold. Ugh...enough said.

Radio supposed to be free to listen because radio wave contains Advertisement. It's different from listening to CD. It's already been paid for by advertiser to radio station and radio station to RIASS. I don't know while same music program is being double taxed. That does not make any sense.

Second, what makes you think cabby is playing music to attract more customers? What if the guy was listening to music to sooth his soul? or he is just entertaining himself. He probably does not F*** care about his passenger.

    Let me ask you something...
Have you ever driven a car in city areas(mostly, cabs are operated in urban area)? I get so stressed out...takeing away music(only friend cabby's got) might be endangering his soul and maybe it's harmful to cabby, um...mentally.

I personally DO NOT LIKE cabby playing music, because I have what they are listening! They mostly play something that I do not wish to hear anyway! I prefer cabby who does not listen to radio nor talk...I just want to him to drive most efficient manner as possible. Why did I get into cab in the first place? To get to place called B from place A! I don't care if they do play radio or not! So, taxing cabby for playing radio is INSANE!

  13. This is bad! on Time Warner to Charge Extra for Over-Quota Bandwidth · · Score: 0

Hey, I live in Palisades Park, NJ 07650.

Time Warner here forces its users to buy TV network although I don't watch a cable tv(I have no tv!) They are charging me $60.00 per month! Is this unlawful practice(technical wise it's possible that you only serve data signal filtering tv network signal right?) They insist that this is a company policy. Please, help. If requested then I can give you copy of billing which states $60.00/month!!!

By the way! How can they charge more for bandwidth we already paid for? This is a scheme? Do you know how many people sign up and never use their broadband? or just check e-mail? Because they don't know how to install right plug-ins and they new that you could do that?
Do you know howmany times nimda or code red scanned my connection last year?

Plus, I have no alternate! Because they have monopoly hogging the whole area!

Repeat After me! Cable modem and DSL are different! They are not the same! If somebody argued that they are same because they are both high-speed internet, then they should drop dead.
Is apple pie same thing from cherry pie? Because they are all pie, does not mean that they are same! If I am to eat apple pie? Why should I be forced to locked onto eating TimeWarner brand apple pie? Damn it! This is no different than living in China! I want to eat some other brand where I don't have to pay for the additional charge by weight on $5.00 apple pie! Wake up America? Surfing the net is not about conserving bandwidth & being curious to your neighbor because you might be hogging the network! You only have small bandwidth stream and you can use it all if you paid for it! It's ISP's fault for having too much people signed up for allocated slot!

They are being greedy and they are not losing money. If they are losing money then they should frisking turn off all the nasty NT exchange servers for e-mail service. They probably needs more than necessary number of MCSE who is there only to hit - rest - button. That's all they know to do it correctly!

No wonder they are losing money from over staffed engineers(repeat after me! incompetant engineers.) because they made choice of relying on unstable product!
CISCO's and Unix never goes wrong where Windows artificial intelligent mind often changes stuffs whenever they feel like doing it....blah blah blah blah

So, time warner should swallow their own decision.
Plus, can they change the contract on me? I already have piece of paper saying unlimited access to the network. Nothing here mentions about bandwidth limit and additional charges!
